Recommended Posts

come on guys its next gen no excuses this time ......remember the headline CODEMASTERS COOKING UP A STORM.....
no helmets in the off set t cam view for mercedes or ferrari ???? what???  @justbiglee  even said months ago that the t cam were looking so close to the real  tv view omg!!
the first screens we saw months ago was of  lewis in monaco , we had helmets then but now it seems we ve gone backwards since then !!
is it the lack of processing power NO
is it the lack of memory NO
it seems  we are all  going to be let down by codefailmasters efforts yet again...........oh dear.......time to cancel the pre order perhaps.

I am using realistic (modded) offset cameras but then the HUD (especially track position) blocks your view. And since the engineer doesn't say useful stuff you need on-screen feedback.

Where has this come from? I must have missed the screens or footage you're referring to, but the helmets are there and visible in game. I'm playing as Vettel now.

Not certain you're actually referring to the offset T-cam - in the offset cam they are very clearly visible. In the standard T-cam you can just see them, but not as much as on TV footage. The reason for this is that the field of view on TV is very wide, and it is a nightmare to try and drive with any sort of precision like that. So our main T-cams are central with a narrower FOV so the sensation of speed is more realistic.

Edit: I am running PS4, if the footage you've seen is XB1 it could be due to the resolution difference now I think on it. The slightly lower resolution could cut off a bit at the bottom of the screen.

Morning Luke (@Britpoint )

Can you say whether the steering wheels are the REALISTIC size in the release build?

THX!

Or any other info? SC, weather, red flags, damage model, formation lap?

There will be no More info until the game is released...Let's be real for a moment, there is no safety car, damage model is the same, weather will be the same, no formation lap and the penalty/flag system is exactly the same. Anybody that says different, think about the past....Codemasters made a big deal out of the hand animation that was put into the game in 2013 when someone clips you and that was just a simple animation, does anybody really think that they would not be showing off the safety car?weather? flags?? if they where in there?....You have the community manager here literally insinuating the wheels have tethers, but won't answer any direct question about it or anything else for that matter and we are 7 days from release....So what I have said before still stands for Codemasters, you are basically stealing money now with all the lies and insinuating things are in the game that quite clearly are not. Be prepared for the forums to be deleted again when the shitstorm hits next saturday.

^ That's actually weird!

All I can tell you is on my PS4 build on my screen right now, in the camera showed on the video, in a Ferrari - I can see Vettel's helmet clearly. Maybe the camera changed slightly since the E3 build or a bug got fixed somewhere, I'm not sure. It is definitely there now though.
