Revs need to be easier to control during race starts

Apparently this is "by design", but as that OP points out, it's impossible to modulate the revs at all during race start - you instantly go to max when trying to slightly get them higher. This leads to massive wheelspin off the line, and getting passed by 4-5 AI. The way it was in 2019 was fine - you still had to be careful on revs, but it was easier to control them - so why fix something that isn't broken?
