I always tried to accelerate slowly to get into that perfect range. However, I found the other way around is more effective: Accelerate up to the limiter and then slowly reduce the throttle input until it comes down again.
Social Media & Community Team PJTierney Posted October 5, 2020 Author Social Media & Community Team Share Posted October 5, 2020 I've been trying that lately too, depending on the circuit it seems to work well.

If you switch off the racing line first time it's hard to say/feel if you had the right speed through the corner.

It's a great little tool indeed 🙂 I don't know if there are any plans to make it a standalone thing in this game (I just make tutorials and take the occasional screenshot), but it would be nice, I agree 🙂
KommanderEcho
We're having problems to connect to Racenet? Can't properly sign-in on the game, already even linked racenet to steam to no avail. Wanted to get both the livery and suit. Always demonstrates some kind of error, and fails to communicate to RN/Codemasters Accounts. Edited November 10, 2020 by KommanderEcho More details. SixtoRodriguez
@PJTierney I've a question regarding your setups: First of all, thanks for the great content on YT! I'm a subscriber and your setups have been a great help. I prefer an understeering car and I think this is why I like your setups. They are very drivable for me and the tyre wear is fantastic. However, I guess they are a bit on the safe side if you know what I mean. I'm ready to give up a bit of stability to go faster. Is there any trick? Any parameters I can adjust?

Thanks. Sorry, I didn't mean the setting for the wheel. I was talking about the setup for the car. But thanks for the video.

DuaneBlack
Greetings; I almost made a separate post - but I suppose this may belong here. As a quarantine hobby and a service for anyone on Reddit who woudl watch/a couple of friends I play with - I made some virtual track walks/tutorials for every track over the past several weeks while traversing career mode. To introduce myself, I also drive on tracks in a Mustang for a hobby - instructing in a group called NASA in the American Southeast at tracks such as VIR, Road Atlanta, Daytona, and Sebring (occasionally at least..) - and part of this helps me learn to synthesize a track to - so making them had selfish reasons as well that may help you guys. Anywho, on this play list, you should find a walk through for every track on F1 2020. Bahrain was the first recorded, Australia the last. I got a little too SRS BSNSS about it and started using my computer at teh end - my first 3-4 were made on my phone while lounging on the couch. I don't know if these will help 10 people or 2000 people - but if there is an overwhelming demand and it seems worth my time to someone - I might remake the first few (Bahrain, Vietnam, China, and Netherlands) to fit the PPT format I used in later videos. Without further adieu, here is the playlist link! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLi_MoDa3Id4J-pYPPbjocQlKdY8reydz8
Social Media & Community Team PJTierney Posted January 22, 2021 Author Social Media & Community Team Share Posted January 22, 2021 Nicely done @DuaneBlack 🙂 I've been doing "track walk" videos too over on my YouTube; it seems Nico Rosberg both gave us the idea 😄
