dino78 14 Posted July 11 Strategy in this game could do with a overhaul. Its all very well on the grid picking whether i want to do a 1 stop of 2 stop and use softs or hard tyres etc. But whom am i racing against? What are they doing for their strategy? Why does jeff never talk about the undercut or overcut during the race? Why have a "rival" if i dont know what his strategy is on race day? This could all be implemented alot better and made more immersive. Also shouldnt strategy be intially worked out at the start of the race weekend? That way it gives relevance to your race strategy laps in practice. As the weekend develops the strategy might change as your practise programme results come in. Example Hard compound is awful therefore my 1 stop strategy is out of the window and i will do a 2 stop instead (obviously qually will have an impact as well, if you make q3). Also when the grid order is being read out, why cant there be a picture of the tyre compound the driver is using, next to the driver? I have to go into the race director when on the grid to see what compounds the rest of the grid are using. Maybe, if you are the 2nd driver in the team, then team orders have an affect on your strategy, i.e. the team tell you what you will be doing and as you arent the no1 driver you dont have a say. Or the team split strategies on race day? But how would i know that unless i knew what my teammates strategy is? Currently i have no clue other than what compound he is running. I could go on, but i wont.
