My issues with tarmacs grip.

Tarmac ( I haven't rallied on tarmac, gravel yes.) but for me feels all off. its just too twitchy almost like its got f1 like downforce and grip!?! You try counter steering a slide and I just end up over compensating by the snappy flick the grip seems to have and spin the other way. Tyres don't seem to slide they just constantly giving grip theres no give in them.

Temps impact mod does make it feel better but its only so much a ffb modder can take DR, sorry CM you have to finish what you've started here guys. Gravel feels good and your on to something there, but tarmac for me is a little (gonna say) it arcade feeling).

UPDATE: actually having played a bit more tonight ill think ill retract my scale statement, I think gravel is pretty much spot on, and tarmac im not sure its the grip maybe the way the wheel turns the wheel to sharply. Having turned down the linearity to -2 on tarmac on a t300 felt quite cool actually, So maybe the problem lies there, the steering inputs rather than grip scale?!

Msportdan,

yeah lot of threads on grip on tarmac,so yes a lot of peeps would agree with you.Supposedly they're working on it although a lot of threads on this matter haven't been chimed in on by devs with CONCRETE answers,

Yes I do know CM said they're looking into it.What's wrong or will be fixed exactly wasn't said yet though.

You can however manipulate the horrid default setups to an extent in setups, but not to a point where its a sim feel.

I think gravel is spot on, no adjustment needed.

Tarmac grip in general is about right (apart from the snow and ice. It needs reduced), the problem is the way the tyres loose grip and regain it. It's far to snappy, a lot of slide's end in a tank slapper or a spin. Grip loss need to be a bit smoother, more progressive imo.

I've encountered a problem with my T500 where some of the cars acts very strange around the center of the Wheel. Extremely twitchy. That problem Went away after I tried a custom xml and then went back to the original one. Strange.

As mates commented, the "problem" is big and far enough discussed. Many threads open allready talking about this.

But, hey, yeah I agree. Unless the tyres are built with a loctite/vacumm/super soft compund I dont think this level of grip is possible. At least not too tight. Needs to be smoothed, As Evilsmurf said.

This is one of the better explanations of tarmac feel IMO (aside from snow/ice that def needs less grip).  It feels good it's just the loss and regaining of traction seems much too sudden with no feel to it, needs to be more progressive.

Although some cars are worse than others, I was driving the Manta last night on Germany and it actually felt pretty good.  Still though, would like to see some tweaks to the tarmac driving model, I think gravel already feels brilliant.
