Wireless v Wired controller

Hello all. I'm playing F1 2019 on XBox One with a wireless XBox One controller. When I watch Y**t*b* videos of really good controller drivers the have a camera shot showing their controller inputs/use.....and the all seem to be wired controllers.

Is wired better than wireless? Particularly when playing driving games.

Wired is better than Wireless in general, as response time is shorter in a wired device vs a wireless one.

Thanks for your reply. So maybe my wireless controller is the reason why I can't hit many corner apexes.......or, as I believe may be the case, it's because I'm a rubbish driver. I'm  being self deprecating folks.....I'm fairly sure 5 to 10 milliseconds lag or so isn't  going to make much difference to the way I drive.

To an extent you'd just end up self-compensating for a delay when on a clear track, finding you need to brake/turn slightly earlier to compensate. I'd have thought it would be when reacting to what other cars do that would be where a delay was more of an issue.

Car setup will affect the ability to hit apexes whilst carrying good speed too of course.
