Turning driver transfers prevents the player from contract negotiation

Recommended Posts

1.       A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here.

Turning off 'driver transfers' in Driver Career seems to lock the player into the team they sign with at the beginning. It will prevent the player from doing contract negotiations and automatically signs the player to their original team. In F1 2019 driver transfers could be set to off and the player could sign with a new team, or negotiate different terms with their current team. Also, driver transfers can't be turned on/off once the season has started. I'm not sure if this is intended, but in 2019 they could be switched on/off in between sessions.

5.       What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too.

Four times. Complete a Driver Career season until your contract expires (for me it was after the Austrian GP, in a full season) and it will automatically renew, with Emma sending you an email congratulating you signing with the team. I also got the trophy "Sign on the Dotted Line" for completing a contract negotiation even though the negotiation never happened. If driver transfers are set to on, the negotiation will go on as normal.

6.       What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue

Started a new career multiple times, each time the negotiation happened automatically.

7.       What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc)

8.       Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears.
