Logitech G920 Wheel calibration

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm having problems with the Logitec wheel calibration in F1 2020.. every time I go on track (time trial and career mode) the wheel veers 15-25 degrees to the left while it's actually centered.

I tried the following to resolve the issue

1) disconnecting and reconnecting the wheel (while in the game)

2) restarting the game

3) restarting Logitec G hub software

Here are details of my game and system

  • Windows 10 64 (steam)
  • F1 2020 V 1.03
  • Logitec G Hub v 2020.4
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 12 (for details see attached)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (for details please see attached)

Please note that while getting details to write I went to Direct X Diagnostic Tool (DX Diag)  and found that the Logitec wheel has THREE (3) entries of some reason (please see attached). So restarted the computer and got another diagnostic and it was the same.. so I'm not sure if this the issue

Three entries is normal if you have the Driving Force shifter attached, AIUI.

Try removing the in-game schemas if you've created custom ones. Exit the game, verify Steam files. Detach the wheel.

Use Geek uninstaller to remove the GHub. Reboot.

Reinstall the GHub, connecting the wheel when prompted. Restart, check for correct operation in GHub.

Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml, launch the game. Test the default G920 schema, customise and save as necessary.

Hi

having the same issues with my G29 on PC.

My solution is:
Going into G-Hub, moving the Rotation Slider (set on 360° in my case) a bit back and forth. I recognice a small movement of the wheel when I do that.

Going back to F1 2020. Enter the calibration settings and turn the wheel to max position on either side. That does it for me.

I just wonder, why I always have to run G Hub in the background (also happened in 2018 and 2019) and why such a common wheel is so hard to run flawless in a game...
