LH44Banta 35 Posted July 17 I know this has been mentioned a lot recently and in the beta but I feel the track limits are unrealistically strict. As seen in the two Austrian Grand Prix and the practice sessions at Hungary the limits are defined by the kerb not the white line any more. So my suggestion is that all corners with a kerb on the outside should be no warning unless you go over the kerb and corners without a kerb on the outside should be kept the same. I believe though that corner cutting should stay 0 tolerance 1
LH44Banta 35 Posted July 17 Has there been any thing looked at with this ? @BarryBL
Ultra3142 384 Posted July 17 'Strict' is to the letter of the rules but not intended or claimed to be realistic. It's just a new option to use but you don't have to.

Yeah I get that and its some thing we have to adjust to but maybe it could be a different option like a realistic

I can see this is tricky to get right for Codemasters though since this changes from year to year. Strict limits are the same for everyone though so we should just be able to get used to them I'd have thought? At least it's obvious what they are rather than having to figure them out. I've just finished watching a TRL Limitless live stream race using strict limits and he managed to get just a single warning I think, although plenty of his competitors got a load of penalties. I guess ultimately it should reward better driving and so may not be a bad thing?

Top tier drivers in the game manage to go around insanely fast with minimal warnings or no warnings at all. Strict means white line to white line. Real life stewarding is very inconsistent you can't really judge anything from that and there is a bigger risk to use the kerbs, Mercedes good example in Austria a couple of weeks ago. Now if there is a clear bug where you are still within the white lines and get a warning, report it as a bug. I've seen only a couple of guys actually reporting legitimate track limit bugs, the rest was just moaning.

I agree I’ve just adapted I don’t get many warning and penalty’s but I like mimicking the real life sport so when i see drivers use the kerb over the white line and not be punished and then I do the same in the game and do it annoys me a little but as I said I completely agree with you just need to adapt👍👍
