Custom Liveries for Xbox/PS

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

first of all Thank You very much for the great game.

I saw, that on PC some modify their liveries, so they had custom liveries. I wish to have these too on console and i have an idea, how to do this.

1. You can download livery files from the Codi-Homepage on your PC. The format could be for example psd for Photoshop.

2. You can paint your own livery on your PC.

3. You upload the files back to the Homepage, where it will be check, if it's okay (technical and no offensive content)

4. You can download your livery to your console, which is connected to your account.

Would this be possible? I would be awesome.

Have a great day.

Greetings

Please remember that, even though modifying happens, the mods are not officially supported by Codemasters, and users add them to the game at their own risk.

First, thank you very much for your comment @BarryBL

My intention was to show a way, how you maybe can implement custom liveries on xbox/ps/pc without modifying game datas. I am not a game developer so i'm not sure if it works the way i think, but is my idea different to the way, how new liveries coming to the game with DLCs? The 3d-model for all multiplayer cars is the same, only the livery is different. So if there's a possibility to paint a custom livery on a pc and download it from your servers in-game, i think, it's modifiying without a change of game data from the user site.

I hope you know what i mean.

Thank you very much for your time.

Many greetings.

Hi @aussichicken,

We are going to be expanding our current customisation options, through the Podium Pass, for users to be able to make the best liveries possible. Our issue here is that, due to licencing restrictions, we can only use 'created' companies as sponsors. The model for the Multiplayer car also has been approved by FOM and other F1 stakeholders, and this is very set in stone.

@BarryBL, as this sounds very similar to my suggestion from the topic you had to remove, I must ask about the addition of driver number 0, even though it's off topic. Any news on #0's addition yet?
