Impossible to play with Thrustmaster 458 Spider - Xbox One

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.
I think there are few problems with this wheel. (only this?)
There is an incredible input lag, even if i put steering deadzone to 0. And seriously..no wheel calibration? How is this possible? We need a patch ASAP, game is unplayable at the moment.
I use this wheel with Project Cars and it's all perfect.
I hope someone from CM will answer to this, thanks.

I'm very much hoping this isn't true. Two days ago I purchased the thrust master TX wheel for the XB1. If I've wasted £300 I will be beyond pissed.

Can anyone else advise?

I'm having no problems with mine, I use it with the F1 wheel and it feels fine to me.  I do have the force feedback up high I think the first two settings are 80 and the 3rd setting on 100.

Well, we have two different wheels, maybe it's this but..I really have big difficulty when i have to turn.
The wheel doesn't reacts immediately, it's really impossible to drive.
I tried to change the settings but without a real calibration it seems a bit "random"...

@oasis90 - Have you done the firmware update?
The 458 Spider doesn't have firmware because it's the one without force feedback.
I dunno, with Project Cars it's really all ok, no problems at all.
Here..When i turn with the wheel, the car doesn't turn immediately. Tried now with the pad and its all ok, of course.
Maybe if someone has the best settings for this wheel..But without calibration its not easy..We'll see if someone from CM say something :)

Oh right. Sorry, I thought you were referring to the TX wheel. My apologies.

I remember when F1 2012 came out, I had the same problem. It felt like the car was just not turning in until well after I had turned the wheel. After a while I realised that I wasn't adjusting to the new handling cars and what I was actually experiencing was a moment of under steer before the wheels gripped.

Please don't think I'm suggesting you don't know how to play the game, I'm just letting you know what I experienced before. You seem like you know what you're doing, but it's unusual for a wheel to work fine on one game but not another.

If it's working fine on the pad I have no idea what to suggest. Like you say, some calibration settings would probably help quite a bit! Let's hope it's patched in tomorrow.

I wish I had some more helpful information.

Just a quick update: after the "day 0" patch, the wheel is working great.
Seems the patch fixed the problem :)

No force feedback?
Works fine here.

I play with the F1 addon plus a Playseat challange.
Its the only reason i am still playing this game.

Not had a problem with this since I got the game. I didn't even have to change any settings on it. Left it at default in game and senstivity on the wheel to one and it's been great.
