Is it worth starting career mode?

Recommended Posts

Is it worth starting a MyTeam or Regular career mode in F1 2020 with the following to consider:

- Few glitches and errors still existent within the two modes.

- Mercedes new livery hopefully coming soon.

- Performance patch hopefully coming soon. Racing Point given big boost, McLaren small boost, Ferrari nerfed to McLaren and Renault level. Alfa Romeo nerfed away from Alpha Tauri and closer to Haas.

- Possiblity halfway through the career, car performance levels change massively with new update and you could get screwed.

Hope these updates and fixes come soon as they are taking a very long time. In the meantime, is it worth starting or should I wait for these updates. What do you think?

I'm in no rush myself so I'm waiting for now, as I'm perfectly happy just using other game modes. Only you can decide on your priorities though @AoiAsahina.

Em..about performance patch..for me it doesn't matter to much cuz performance will change anyway due to R&D upgrades in Carrer and MyTeam so yea I say you start the Carrer or MyTeam  cause you don't loosing much, without performance patch and bugs aren't big enough to take fun from playing

And also you’re making assumptions about the performance patch...

I agree with your assessment of where the teams should be, but i have very little faith that CM will give us this. At best i expect they will nerf Ferrari slightly, but I can’t see them making the major changes that we all think are required.

I would hold off starting. My team is full of bugs. I got 1 today where every driver exept me and Russell got disqualified. Then an hour later I noticed all the facilities I'd upgraded had been reset to 0. Very frustrating.

Had this with f1 2019 started a career a month in then had to restart whole thing once theyd patched the ridiculous AI upgrade speed. Always better to wait a bit. Codemasters games are always broken on release.
