Avatars

This piggybacks on my topic the mentions the lack of female avatars in F1 2020 but is separate because some content pertains to every avatar. I've noticed that no avatars have visible hair and the female avatars look like slightly altered male avatars. "Visilie hair" because a few of the hats seem to indicate the avatar should have hair by apparently floating. The (mis)perception about the female avatars could just be my horrible eyesight again. My suggestions for next year's game are as follows: a wider selection of female avatars that are clearly feminine and hair on every avatar.

I really think this has to do with your eyesight because I can clearly distinguish female avatars from male avatars. The drivers all wear caps and it is "obligatory" because of all the sponsors on them. You will be seeing them the entire game with caps so I rather see what they look like with a cap than what their hair looks like when I choose my avatar.

Another solution for you would be that you could specify the gender you are looking for so you are always sure you didn't pick a dude because of your eyesight

You can wear a cap and have long hair though.

The problem with hair in video games is that it is very difficult to get right. No snub at codemasters but character creation is not their field of expertise. They make car games. I'm almost certain if the female avatars had long hair sticking out of their cap we would now be discussing why the females have such ugly hair.

See, I never thought of this. And, it'd allow CM to include equal numbers of male and female avatars without excess scrolling.

This is probably true but they did manage it with Calderon. All the player females look bald. Rather have ugly hair than none!

They could do with adding some more Asian faces too. The only Male one they have is the big guy at the bottom.

If hair is an issue for you I'm with you. I don't have issue with no hair in these game but I can relate as some games don't have afro hair and you have to watch the entire game at a character that should represent you but has awful western hair

Oh it's no big issue since you barely see the avatars anyway, just would be nice!

I get you though, games should definitely try to add more styles in general since customization is something most people enjoy. More options is always better!
