Recommended Posts

Just looking for feedback from anyone that has used a fanatec wheel yet on f1 2015. Interested to see how good/bad it works.

Steering wheel works great but padels are terribly ... (can not be used at the moment) brakes react until about 90% braking distance

Which wheel and pedals are you using? So you are saying you cannot play the game because the pedals dont work?

I don't use a fantec Wheel but i use the CSR elite pedals with load cell brake toghether with a G27

The brake feels weird and very unresponsive. Rapid downshifting and motorbrake is not longer possible, which is a good thing . But the brake feels very mushy. You can feel the lockup pretty good, so threshhold braking is ok. But using light stabs on the brake don't really work, and trailbraking, well I don't feel if it's working or not.

Another weird Thing is, when you brake and shift down and you overrev the gear it feels like the brake stops working completly and the car suddenly jerks or leaps Forward although I'm still full on the brake, maybe i'm just sliding then, haven't figured it out, yet. I feels unnatural. For me the car should lock up not get faster. It's hard to explain  actually

Overall i'm not satisfied with the way the brakes behave. Furthermore they took out the brake sensivity Option. All you can adjust is deadzone and linearity of the brakes.  In the ohther games I always used a 25% sensivity for the load cell brake which worked perfectly. I miss this in '15.

Maybe this can be patched?

All works fine with my CSR wheel and pedals. Force feedback is still pretty weak even when dialled up to 100% in the game, but haven't tweaked it on the wheel yet - currently just using the same on-wheel settings that I use for all CM games.

maybe it's because I use the fanatec pedals with a logitech wheel., but that used to work perfect in all the other games. I have opened a handling thread, maybe people can share their experience.

FANATEC clubsport base and F1 rim user on PC here....

If you have not bought the game..DONT.

The FFB is the same as every other Codemasters game....rubbish. The wheel loses weight when its not supposed to... the FFB is kinda not even there..just the odd rumble to let you think that they included ffb..

I have to wonder if they let anyone test these games AT ALL before releasing them to the general public. I for one would not have let this through quality control at all.

PLEASE Codemasters.... buy some of your competitions games and play them...Project Cars.... Assetto Corsa... feel the FFB in those games and then try to keep up..

I have a Fanatec CSW v2 and the FFB feels brilliant in my opinion. Not a million miles off Game Stock Car Extreme and in some ways better. I run all the ffb settings in the game at 100% and turn off SPR and DPR on wheel, SEN set to 360

I agree feels good and I haven't even bothered tweaking anything yet

I'm using a CSW V2 with Formula Rim and the FFB is really poor. It's really weak even when turned up to 100% and so you don't get a good feel for what the car is doing and there is not a good feeling of weight on the steering or friction from the tyres at low speed. Hoping it gets patched soon.

Sure for you always everything works. I remember your comments from years back. You truly love Codies don't you? Fact is there is no brake saturation option. An option that was there for years. WHY REMOVE IT? Why remove anything that we had already?

Either or......the Fanatec pedals ( I use CSPs v1.0) are not working at all properly and that killed the game completely (was dead before, that was just the mercy shot) . If I cannot trust my braking I cannot push for time. May as well drive the Safety Car-oh wait they removed that too. :)

Fanatec CSR standard and pedals.
Breaking is terrible. The rumble on the curbs feels ok, but I was disappointed in general as it doesn't seem to feel any better than 2014. On project cars the CSR feels amazing, why can't Codemasters match that? Hoping that someone posts some decent settings soon. FFB settings and wheel weight set 80-100% to really get any feel. Added 1% steering deadzone which helped keep the car straight but need to play around a bit more.

Can you please elaborate on the braking being horrible? Some people say its unusable. Or is there just no progression in the braking?

And what platform
