haha, it made me laugh when he held his hand up as if he wasn't in the wrong... but yeah the damage system seems awful.
So glad I've hadn't pre-ordered this game because it doesn't seem great so far...

That is awful. Such a shame because this game looked so promising.
I am struggling to see what the whole new damage system is? Have they forgot to include it?

yes that's awful, nobody can argue that it is not but don't dismiss this been good racing game on ridiculous elements like that.

Besides, lets be honest, anyone who drives like that shouldn't be complaining about anything  "simulation" or "realism".

I have not come across stuff like that because I don't drive like a plank, or go looking for things to pick at.

I`ve crashed under normal circumstances and had my car written off.

No doubt that they shouldn't be driving like that if they want a simulation game, but this was obviously just a test to show that the damage system just simply doesn't exist.

Its not good, but it does exist, I almost have my doubts that he had it turned on. Its set off by default. I have clipped cars from behind or touched walls and got blow outs and knackered front wings, even total car failure.

Don't get my wrong when I first seen it I thought yeah that's not on full damage but until someone else does the same but showing it on full damage I have no other way of knowing how good or bad it is because I am not buying this game now :)

what i will say to.you is this. i am happy i bought it, i think the cars handle excellently and really enjoyed last night on it. it has flaws but if u go by forums like this alone you would never buy anything. trust me ive done it with buying tvs. if id stayed away i wouldnt have gone looking for every fault i could find and been way happier.

I'm the guy who made the video and the damage was definitely set to "Full".

I know what you're saying but I've bought enough of these games to know that I won't be happy with it from the current reviews on here.

Maybe when Steam reduce it I might try it and like it or I might hate it and request a refund, but I'm not doing that anytime soon :)

Like I said, the game was set to full damage with the 2014 cars, obviously. And no I'm not going to create another video doing the same thing, showing off the settings, since I no longer have access to this poor excuse of a F1 game.

The over reaction by some is incredible. However, its your money.

This is not just about a damage model though? People are unhappy with the overall game...

I just don't see where it is so critically bad that it deserves the reaction its getting.

Bugs can never be accepted, I`d agree.

Some of the videos i've seen on this forum show how buggy the game is, and I know Codemasters aren't one for patches with these games.. Or they don't seem to have been in the past.

But ive played the game and only noticed one minor frame rate issue in the cockpit view. It would need sorting though, if it happened again.

Other than that In the 3 hours I played it no other issues.

Reading these forums you would think it was unplayable.

For some it is unplayable because it keeps crashing

why has everyone missed the bigger bug here? all the AI slowing down at one of the fastest corners on the entire F1 calendar!!!

That's a fair point.  That corner is flat.

Regarding the game.  Its the number of bugs that bothers me and its not like this is their first attempt at an F1 game.  Feedback on the G27 is terrible, the pad refuses to work unless tweaked.  Two game crashes in and I've not even managed to complete Melborne, on 25%!  Pro mode results in assists being turned on.  The Audio is terrible.  I could go on!

If I was trying and Alpha pre release I'd expect some of this, but not on release and not after delaying it already.

Lucky for codemasters I'm a huge F1 fan so I'll either put it up for a few weeks and wait for patches or solider on.  I'll complain just like I have with every F1 release they have done!

It's not so much the visual damage, it's the handling consequences of damage that should be better represented. Especially when we see real drivers hindered so badly by a broke. End plate.
really? Ive broken my front wing and it was virtually un-driveable. bizzare.

That is not fair my game is unplayable - Xbox controller fault on PC car has full acceleration and brakes are on full so you can't move many others have the same issue I'm annoyed at your narrow minded comments because I planned a free night to play this and couldn't
