Race Squad 9 Posted August 3, 2020 I'm in pole position and leading by a margin of 4 seconds. On lap 16, I go to the pit stop and change the soft tyres to hard ones. After that, the entire peleton overtakes me! What the hell is this?
RS Phil 214 Posted August 3, 2020 Hi, How can we answer you without giving a context? Which race length? Which track? Starting and current position? On which lap did you pit? Maybe the AI just pitted for fresh soft... Give a little bit more details so we can help. Anyway, by definition, hard tires are less competitive than soft but it depends of a lot of factors (track, temperature, ...). It’s not because you are overtaken by AI that it is necessarily bad. You can maybe go to the end of the race while AI still need to pit. Regards.
TomEmilioDavies 23 Posted August 3, 2020 Yes the Hard tires are indeed typically slower than the softer compounds.
