Problems Starting Game on PC With Steam

Getting mixed signals here. Yesterday I was playing, I won 1st in two championships and now Steam is saying I both own the game and I don't. My Dad bought me it on sale and sent it as a gift a couple months ago.

I bought the game of the year edition when it was on sale and now I have 45 hours in the game and have been having a blast crashing left and right. But now it says i need to purchase the game again. What gives?

I am having the same issue. Says I need to purchase game, takes me to the store page, then on the store page it says I already own it. Completely ridiculous and frustrating.

Is this all recent like in the last 24 hours? Might just be a server issue that will get fixed soon enough. Its currently on sale where I am, might be a hiccup.
