Any one know how career mode in 2015 works?

I know you cant drive as yourself and I dont really care about that. I want to know what happens at the end of season 1 for example. Is it just game over, start again or is there some progression? Only asking as its looking like a refund for me so I dont want to go over 2hrs play time on steam.
