Chiarello 4 Posted August 11 I play F1 since 2011. I can see every area of the game has improved since, but the AI seems to be all over the place every year. Quite frankly i think its impossible to adjust it for every race on every game setup. My idea is to USE PRACTICE sessions to simulate a race. 5,6 laps on race pace (much like the race simulation) but with the intent to propose a difficulty for race, and maybe another simulation for qualify (since qualify and race difficulties seem way off) So, basically, a way to suggest the difficulty to the player based on HIS performance on a short session, it may not be perfect, but its better than me having a spreadsheet to try and remember how the last race was with which difficulty to try and adjust manually every time.
RS Phil 214 Posted August 11 I agree with you. I left my AI difficulty to 80 and found that everyone has a different delta from his base difficulty. Some love a particular track, other hate it. You are good at some tracks, not as good at others. Your driving style (the way you brake, essentially) and some tracks don’t go well together. Your setup and knowing every corner of a track helps. I don’t think there is so much difference. When I realize I’m really slower (generally I’m very close to my team mate) than my team mate, I use telemetry to see where I could gain some time and it helps. This is the way you progress for me. This is my opinion. Generally the acclimatization practice program (don’t know if it is named like this, the one with the gate) is a good indicator.
Istaz 0 Posted September 8 Hi I’m quite new to F1 ( I only started playing F1 2019 at Christmas). I’m still effectively learning/improving and I’ve adopted a suggestion taken from one of these forums which is to 1) practice/learn track 2) Time trial the track using the Merc. 3) input my best time into an excel spreadsheet taken off the reddit forum which estimates my AI level. 4) Continue in team mode with a setting -5 to the lower rating the spreadsheet advises me on. So if my range is 83-78 I will use 73.This method gives me a very balanced feel to playing team mode. Its a workaround I know.
