IMPORTANT: This thread is slightly different to previous ones, read first post carefully.

When using controller with automatic or semiautomatic gear car wont switch to reverse gear after stopping. When swapped to keyboard however it does.

Because that's the way it is in the irl car 😉 

Having it that way means the needle will be pointing upwards when you need to upshift, which makes it easier for the driver to see when they need to upshift.

After spending a day and started messing with my settings and found that brake saturation setting at 125 causes this.  124 and lower values has no problem with switching to reverse gear but 125+ it wont.

Issue: Excessive Rain Bug
 

Method of Reproduction: ????? seems to be random. however, it occurs relatively frequently on PS4, and almost never on PC

Issue: wrong substance sticks to the car on the Hamra/Lysvik route in Sweden.
 

Method of Reproduction: drive any stage on the Hamra/Lysvik Route in Sweden. car will turn brown instead of white. the other route (Ransbysäter/Norraskoga) is unaffected.

Escort is on Ransbysäter/Norraskoga, 205 is Hamra/Lysvik.

Platform: all (I have tested PS4 & PC, but I am sure it is Xbox too)

Issue: Missing (English language) call on Verbundsring and Hammerstein

Method of Reproduction: every time I drive it. this is the same call that was missing upon release of the Germany location and then fixed a month or two later. it's a "turn unseen 1 left" after a "6 right 130, crest" up a hill. this was taken today on PS4 (1.25, on PC that is 1.15) but I tried on PC today too with the previous version (1.14) and had the same issue

Issue: Wrong names in 2019 RX Supercars. Heikkinen, Nitiss, Gronholm (not shown in screenshot) & Timurzyanov are back on the list of drivers when you enter the 2019 World RX Championship. this occurred first when the patch for the Colin McRae DLC came out and was then fixed. well, it's back too.

this one hurts because it seems like we're not getting their car in DR2 now, and to see their names there without the vehicle is a painful reminder haha

Method of Reproduction: Freeplay > World RX Championship > pick a 2019 car

Platform: PS4 & PC. presumably xbox too.

Constant game crashing after every stage in every game mode. Freezes and then crashes. Even when stopping kid stage and trying to return to menu causes game to crash and sends me back to xbox home.

Has been happening ever since Flatout was released.

Update 1.15 seems to have made it worse - wasn't affecting Time Trial but now is.

Game is amazing but has been unplayable for months now. I am at a complete loss.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and all 60 dlc files. No change.

Game is completely broken for me. I can drive a stage but then crash, restart game, try stage again, crash, reload, repeat ad infinitum.

Please help!

Update: just tried playing offline - flatout stage: I stopped after a couple of corners, tried to exit to menu and the game froze and crashed me out to xbox home. So exactly the same issue offline or online.

Had to lower it to default 100 otherwise the reverse speed was too low to get the car back on to the road on most offroad tracks.

Do you wanna try a solution?
I'm on X-Box One S and had also constant crashes for months. Not everywhere like you, but on several specific points in the game.
But I found a fix and I'm pretty sure that the updates in the past are responsible for these crashes.
The game never crashed again since early april and I play A LOT!

I had that typical "weird constant sound + freeze and then auto-kick to dashboard"-thing like you describe.

Here is MAYBE the solution:

From main menu go to options & extras -> profile -> save settings -> reset progress (first option) NOT THE OTHER TWO! DON'T TOUCH THEM!
Read the text on the right side what you will lose, Colin McRae-Scenario-progress is also gone then.

You will not lose your My-Team-Cars and stats, only the current championship will be gone.

But it worked for me and some other dude I gave that solution.
It seems some update in the past could corrupt your save file for something in there.

Issue: AI after the finish got top time

 

I'm finishing the race at the 1st place with whole progress bar green and +(any amount of time) beating the leader time (shows right before the race).

But in the menu that appears after the race and display finish positions and time i'm on a 5th-10th position (any but 1st).

Method of Reproduction:

1. Play mode: My Team/Career difficulty: Pro-Championship
2. Any car, Stage - random (new championship)
3. Remember the leader time
4. Finish the race with no penalty and whole progress bar green. Faster than leader time
5. Wait for result menu to appear

It's Critical to me because i can't play the career mode. It doesn't matter how fast am i, the AI always first.

I'm sure it's a bug, it's not about my skills.

I hope for you to fix it, i love the game and want to play.

Look at the service-area menu before the race after the option "race order".
Look at what position you start in your class.

If you not start as the last driver, you probably got the reason why you coming in first, but in the end you are not.
The AI who starts last is most of the time the fastest of the AI-drivers.

Being the fastest while actually running, doesn't mean there isn't a driver driving AFTER you, who can beat you.
That's a rally-thing and not a bug.

Tried this just now and it seems to have resolved the issue. I am at 'work' so not been able to test everything but I replicated what I posted in my second post and...No crash to xbox home. 

Wasn't too fussed about losing championship progress but losing tuning set ups sucks...however; I can now play the game and their loss is a small price to pay.

I thought about it, it is how a rally-thing works in real life.

But it's kind of a strange thing in a game mechanic, because AI not actually drive, their time simulated. And this method never used in any other rally games, player just see the leader time and should beat it. That's why i thought it's a bug.

I don't know the requirements for the game as a program product, but as player i'm a little bit disappointed of this decision.

If it's an official position of Codemasters as i see from the react of PJTierney on your message well, okay.

Issue: Softlock when renaming setups in VR
 

Method of Reproduction:

1. Any time I try to rename a setup from the load or save setup menu while using a WindowsVR headset (not sure if it happens with other VR headsets).

2. The keyboard will not be able to type. Instead, it will rotate the camera when pressing certain keys. From my testing, there is no way to cancel this, so you have to alt+f4 out of the game.

3. It occurs no matter what controller config I use: Even with just keyboard, no wheel or controller, it still happens.

Issue : Inverted side mirrors on the Porche 911 RGT

Method of reproduction : Drive the Porsche 911 RGT

Issue : when driving from the interior view, the sidemirrors on the 911 RGT are inverted, they look as if we were looking directly behind instead of the image on it being mirrored as in real life
