For most the answer will be F1 2020 but for me it's F1 2016 cuz it added r&d aspect of the game and it really changed the course of the future games for me
KNT2011 214 Posted August 22 For me I'd have to say the 2002 PS2 title Grand Prix Challenge Up until then it was mostly EA titles in the recent years, and while they were functional and had some interesting parts, they hadn't done what this game achieved. For the time the best visuals in an F1 game and as much attention paid to trackside detail as the cars had me watching full race replays (with HUD, CM!) just to admire the scenery. The handling was also a huge step forward, you could really feel the weight transfer through corners and the difference in a light car at the end of a fuel run to the heavy beast when you'd leave the pits. Looking back, of course visually it doesn't stand up to my memory but a cult classic F1 game, not from a big developer, and until perhaps Sony's versions in 05/06, the one I played the most. FYI @mahmutcan0163 you might want to change your subject slightly as it's not really clear what you're asking in the thread title.

Aef251 92 Posted August 22 Geoff Crammond’s GP2. Took the bland graphics of F1 games to the next level and it seemed to me elevated the physics of the genre.

The second is of course F1 2020 classic mode Or Grand Prix Challenge 2 as I know it Edited August 22 by KNT2011
marioho 686 Posted August 22 @KNT2011 Monaco Grand Hotel hairpin is a good indicative of just how big F1 cars have become. Comparing your pic with real footage through the ages... It's mind boggling that you could somehow and somewhat fit almost three cars in there.

Some of the tin buckets they drove around that place at insane speeds still boggle the mind. Bravery that will never be matched.

That was my first game on on my first PC in 2000. I still have the game. Grand Prix 4 always go down probably for me is my best F1 game. Joethe155 8 Posted August 24 Out of Codemasters' ones, 2010. The top 3 press conference stuff was amazing. And then it was never seen again. Would rather this be in it than the dull and pointless questions you get asked in the pitlane. You felt you'd earned you spot sat in that press conference. In general, Grand Prix 3. First Geoff Crammond game I played. 1
