MAH87143 10 Posted August 23 If Jeff gets really annoying, which he does almost EVERY session, and you tell him to leave you alone HE SHOULD STILL RELAY IMPORTANT MESSAGES LIKE CHANGING PIT STRATEGY! NinjaElmo 19 Posted August 23 Jeff is an a-hole sometimes. I'll be concentrating as much as possible, pushing every lap, just 2 tenths out of the DRS of the car in front. I put it into rich mix down the straight, know that if I nail the next series of corners I'll have DRS on the car in front. Coming up to the braking zone, just need to nail my mark and - "LOOKS LIKE WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO RUN IN THIS ENGINE MODE MUCH LONGER". It would be nice if we could select the category of updates we want/don't want to hear, or change their frequency. I don't care about Bottas setting the fastest lap when I'm in 8th, or that it looks like it might rain in 10 to 15 minutes when I have 2 laps left. These things do seem minor, but it really does mess with my concentration. Jeff is another example of CM adding new features every year without fixing or improving the existing ones. I use radio voice to ask Jeff things a lot (no HUD or info on my screen) but I hate when he speaks to me deliberately because all is random and without context (rain expected in 15 minutes while in last lap). As you said, Jeff could be a really interesting experience that could be largely improved but no this stays the same for years. it’s more commercial to focus on things that make the game bankable. There is one. It’s under ‘Audio Options’.
