Team Radio not coming through desired device

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

1.       A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here.

After closing the game, I get no team radio through my selected device, the team radio is instead coming through my main audio device.

2.       Platform

PC Steam

3.       What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen)

1.07

4.       Game-mode?

Any race

5.       What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too.

Eight attempts but maybe more because it happens every time I close and open the game. Step 1) set team audio to non-default sound device. Step 2) close the game. Step 3) reopen the game and start a race. The team audio will be coming through your primary audio device.

6.       What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue

Desired audio device is already selected when going into the menu. I change it from my desired audio device and back to my desired audio device. This fixes the problem every time.

7.       What peripherals are you using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc)

Fanatec Podium Wheel Base DD1, Fanatec Lenkrad Formula V2, Fanatec Podium Advanced Paddle Module, Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V3 inverted

8.       Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears.

None

I am on Ps4 Pro with a Logitech G935 headset (usb dongle), but no way i have a way to have the game audio divided by the Team Radio (Jeff), so i can use for example 1 ear headset with Jeff and the rest of the audio tru my soundbar

Maybe @issueskid can explain this, if there is a way of doing this?

  1. Make sure F1 2020 is not running
  2. Connect the headphones to the PS4 (through controller or USB)
  3. Open the PS4 dashboard, “Settings” à “Audio devices”
  4. "Output device" should be set to "Headphones" or "Headset" or similar"
  5. “Output to Headphones” should be set to “Chat Audio”
  6. Now start the game, go into the “Game Options”, select “Settings” and then “Audio Settings”
  7. Set “Radio output device” to “Headset” – you should hear Jeff talking through your headset while the game audio still plays on your main speakers
  8. Leave the options menu and enjoy the game!
