Game Displays the rear view in Replay/Flashback mode

Recommended Posts

1.       When I use flashback mode in my offline races I want to move forwards and backwards through the replay using the r2 and l2 buttons. Problem is that the r2 button is also assigned to the look behind function. The one that allows you to look behind the car at the race. Therefore when I try to skip forward I am forced to see the back of my car instead of seeing what is happening ahead
2.       1.08 in ps4
3.       Assign the look back function to R2 button

Go to any session that supports flashback mode and enter replay mode. Try to fast forward using the r2 button you will notice that the game shows the rear view

4. Every session that allows replay /Flashback mode

5.       Happens every time
6.       Nothing to try really apart from changing the rear view button. This issue didn't occur in 2019 game

Are you running a custom control setup for the game @AlexKostas? I have reservations on this as it its easily solvable by changing the mapping of your 'Look Behind' function.

I have exactly the same problem. @BarryBL Yes, i'm running a custom control setup for the game.

It's pretty annoying to flashback now.

Have to agree with this issue. This issue only came after the 1.04 or 1.05 patch. As easy as it is to map controls, the problem is I can't seem to map controls within the flashback menus. My look back when racing is also the default R2, but it says its under 'Look back (On track only)'.

However, when you go into the replay menu and press R2 to fast forward, it's also looking behind in the replay cameras.

Can you post the below settings for the standard PS4 controller please guys. My home PS4 annoyingly broke pre-lockdown, and not been able to grab one since.  Shouldn't it be mapped to the right hand analogue stick up and down?

Think the problem is mainly for wheel users.

My look back button has always been mapped to R2 but during flashbacks the fast forward button is also R2 (and I don’t think I can change that). So when I go to fast forward, it will do so but it also looks towards the rear view wing too when it’s only meant to do it on track.
