Unrealistic, boring, disgusting. Stop this kind of campaigne NOW

Arcade-advertising in a sim?? 😂 I drove over 1100h in Pcars2  -only in the multiplayer - but there will be not minute in part 3 (for me) !

yeah 1 or 2 banners here and there i could understand but this is waaaayyy over the top.

it's so blatant and in-your-face.

actually makes me want to NOT by PC3 just because of how annoying the advertising is in DR2.0

Please tell me how sponsor banners affect your gameplay experience...

Nobody complained about Geneva Car show was sponsored in spring, now they're pushing for a new title (which you can buy or not), that's normal.

Where is the "disgusting" side of this?

BUY OUR NEW GAME, NOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't buy anything anymore from Codemasters, before this doesn't stop.
I'm not your cashcow, Codemasters, stop trying to force me.

Wouldn't have bought this game anyway, would have shown the wrong sign to the Publisher.
Project CARS 3 and DiRT 5 are trash in my view.
No respect to developers, who just try to jump on the FH4-bandwagon.

This is really annoying overall this yellow PC3 banners.

So the update 1.15 didn't bring us any improvements or bug fixes regarding the patch notes but lots of yellow banners.
Better would be to bring real sponsors in the game coupled with a new track or car.

Having some PC3 banners would be bad enough but that every single last banner is PC3 only is just gross. Annoying, intrusive, unimmersive, in-your-face advertising in a fully priced game. Please get rid of this garbage asap.

Actually I think Project Cars 3 is doing a disservice to Codemasters as a company. Many people on the internet claim that the game is bad because it was pushed to be an arcade racer by Codies. Which is not true, because as far as I know this decision was made before Slightly Mad Studios was acquired by Codemasters.

Maybe Codies should issue a public statement about it, so that people stop blaming them for what Ian Bell did to the Project Cars fans. 

What a mess...

Slightly mad now is from cm? Didnt know if thats the case sim or arcade I'll buy it. Was going to skip after the experience with the others, not for beeing arcade but they are a disaster of a game. But maybe now they'll have some quality

The 1.15 update had multiple things, all of which were detailed in the Patch Notes. I'll leave you find those for yourself in the usual place 🙂 

Good to know and all but you are missing something imprtant here. How about removing this excessive Project Cars 3 advertising from DR2.0? Since it can be updated server-side, it could be done like right now.

Not my call to make, sorry.

I'm sure it'll be replaced soon with whatever's planned next. Those banners change relatively often.

I really didnt assume it's your call. Don't talk to me like I'm 5 years old.

"soon" is kind of subjective. Meanwhile we have to suffer this constant intrusive in-game advertising that makes DR2.0 look really silly with every banner being nothing but Project Cars 3. Not very nice

This kind of publisher advertisements is immersion breaking, I've had dailys with black/yellow PC3 adverts from start to end. Having the usual mixed racing parts/equipment related adverts is perfectly fine, as it complements rally stage visuals, for as much as peripheral adds start to be a little off. Even the stay at home adverts that were mixed at some point were understandable (for as much as virtual crowds seemed oblivious to them), but having a sim relate to other games in the scenario so forcefully just devalues it. I hope CM takes some lesson from this.

Seriously this is ridiculous. Just finished a stage in Wales (Bidno Moorland Reverse), and every single ad was for PC3. I expected the co-driver to tell me to buy PC3.

This also occurs in offline mode.

Granted, you can't play the career in offline mode so that's a moot point.

how exactly do you propose that we "deal with it"?

the players who dislike this have no options here, other than to voice frustrations in a forum.

Mind you, people do get this upset about advertising on the internet. Adblockers are prevalent. Pihole exists to combat advertising on other platforms (i.e devices with a more closed source approach). These exist because people are actually able to do something.

The ads here are baked into the game. Players who don't want them thrown in their faces constantly have no option but to complain online.

I'd rather you guys kept it to immersive banners rather than actual advertising regardless. Why do I have to see the latest Codies game or some stupid twitter hashtag anyway? You shouldn't be bombarding your paying customers with ads and slogans. I want to forget the real world and race a rally car not drive through an advertising platform.

It's cool guys, looks like the banners are back to their normal selves (at least, on the Australia Weekly) - thanks for the updates, PJ.

I kept my eyes on the road and still wound up careening into a fence every other stage 😆
