[SOCIAL] [MULTIPLAYER] Incorrect lap times after someone rejoins a session

Hey all,

We're receiving reports that some of you are seeing incorrect lap times in multiplayer sessions when a player has left and re-joined a session. If you've experienced this, could you tell us:

  • A detailed description of the issue.  
  • Platform
  • What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 
  • Ranked/Unranked/Leagues
  • Wired or Wireless Connection?
  • The amount of players in your session?
  • Were you the host?
  • Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see?
  • We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again?
  • How do you make the problem happen?
  • Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here.
  • Video of the issue, including timestamps. Did you stream the session?

A lot of our Patch Updates and fixes come directly from completed forum bug reports, and providing this information is vital for Codemasters to be able to investigate, replicate and hopefully solve your issue. Without this, we don't have the necessary information to replicate and diagnose the issue.

It happens , in my league we had this issue more then once and its always when a player disconnect and rejoins.

Also when a driver pits in the 1st 2 laps the leaderboard is glitched, and drivers have a stuck overtake button, there are so many bugs in the game its dramatic for league racing.

Yes the overtake button is another one, this is why I turned off formation lap in my league. It can be jammed on for the race.

Also people in quali who are on outlap and time runs out, they can still do a hotlap

This is so we can identify and track any common trends in reports, and begin to diagnose the problem quicker. Providing as much information is vital to helping us find, diagnose, and hopefully fix any issue with the game. Thanks 👍

Without the information requested above, I cannot complete a bug report to the sufficient level of detail so we can start to look at a diagnosis.

Hello, 

I confirm on my league too, 

We regularly encounter best lap bugs during races, and this always happens when the pilot has had a disconnection and is joining the session in the lap in question.
As if his disconnection resets his lap time to zero, and when he crosses the line it is the time since his reconnection and his arrival on the starting line that is taken into account, I have a video capture that explains this , I will mail it to you a little later.
