GnrDreagon 78 Posted September 4 A handful of times I've had Jeff change the strategy on his own without asking. Which would be annoying if at least the calls were good. But so far he has made bad calls. I've had him calling me in for a second stop even though the tyre wear was as planned, usually even a little better. Last week he didn't like my decision to try a medium/hard strategy so at race start he called me in for softs (in hindsight soft/hard would've been better), so halfway through the race I had to manually change the tyre to the hard compound because Jeff is dumb. Why was this even implemented? At least in 2019 Jeff had the courtesy to ask everytime. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Usually when he asked you're told that a new strategy is available on your mfd. But in this case he says: we're putting you on a new strategy. Or something along those lines. It might be helpful if you captured a video the next time this happens so you can post it here. (I've not had this happen myself but in fairness I haven't done that many races with pitstops either.) I have no idea if it's something that is guaranteed to happen after a replay (and depending on what is happening I might just miss Jeff saying anything) and it only happened something like 2 or 3 times in 25 races or so. On PS4 if I press the Share button after anything odd happening it will always be captured OK without having the pre-plan to record anything. I've no idea how things work on other platforms though.
