TomEC3 4 Posted September 19 As far as I can tell “team acclaim” is simply “driver 1 acclaim” + “driver 2 acclaim”. eg my acclaim is 20% and my team-mate’s acclaim is 25%, our team acclaim is 45% Am I missing anything? Where is team acclaim shown on the HQ screen? Is there a ‘team’ component in addition to just the two drivers? I’m 2.5 seasons in to MyTeam and still don’t find this very clear. TomEC3 4 Posted September 19 This photo shows what I mean. me = 22% Magnussen = 24% Team = 46% (22+24)
GnrDreagon 78 Posted September 19 It's more Driver 1 acclaim gain + Driver 2 acclaim gain because you don't lose or gain acclaim for switching drivers. I think the team acclaim might be somewhere in the contract or sponsor area.

Based on the screenshot above it seems like it’s only the two driver acclaims added together.
Aef251 92 Posted September 19 Your acclaim is 11, 22% on its way to 12. Your teammate is acclaim 12. Your team is 15. You will also team acclaim in the upper right corner next to your cash. So team acclaim is not a combined score of the two drivers.

If you look at the bar chart you can see I am actually closer to half-way to level 12. Acclaim is measured as both a number (level 11) and a percentage (22%). The team acclaim is a straightforward addition of %driver1acclaim and %driver2acclaim. This too can also be expressed as a number In the example above it’s 22% plus 24%, so the team is on 46%, which equates to level 15 on the ‘team acclaim’ scale What I find odd is there are activities available in the scheduling section that supposedly boost ‘team acclaim’, but based on the formula above there isn’t a separate variable for ‘team acclaim’. johnboy83 88 Posted September 20 (edited) The percentage is how much of a boost to your acclaim you get every race. It is not your acclaim level. The boost you receive is transferred to team acclaim, so yes, the 22% bonus you get and the 24% that KMag gets adds up to giving the team a 46% boost to their team acclaim. Ultimately this means that your team receives 46% more acclaim than normal. Each time anyone you move up an acclaim level the percentage bonus will increase too. Where/how do you see your ‘normal’ acclaim? Before it gets boosted...
GnrDreagon 78 Posted September 20 I'm pretty sure those percentages are just the amount you progressed towards the next level this race.

I’ve been watching them closely over 2 seasons. Appreciate the response though.

On higher acclaim levels you'll see a 25% boost for instance but your bar is not even close to increasing 1/4 of the way to completion.
smoothride 2 Posted September 21 (edited) Ok, my understanding is as follows. Driver acclaim rises in levels as does team acclaim. It simply goes 1,2,3,4,etc... The acclaim has some points system behind it where you accumulate some total to get to the next level. The higher you go, the more points you need to gather BETWEEN levels. So maybe you need 1000 points to go from level 1 to 2, but you need 2000 points to go from 2 to 3, and so forth. So it gets harder to increase levels with time. It's hard to tell what the points system is exactly because the only real insight is where you can choose 'activities' between races that may be worth for example 200 driver acclaim or 700 team acclaim points. Now as far as the percentages go, it's an additional 'boost'. There is some baseline amount of acclaim points you get for progressing through the game (practice sessions, races) and the boost is an ADDITIONAL number of points you get. So if you would get 100 driver acclaim points for a practice session as a baseline, and your 'boost' is 20%, then you get 120. As others have said, the boost applied to the team acclaim is the sum of driver 1 + driver 2 acclaim boosts. Finally, the purpose of driver and team acclaims. Driver acclaim, I assume helps in getting contracts with other teams, so it's useful in driver career mode, perhaps less so in MyTeam mode. Driver acclaim level also allows to buy 'Driver Perks', which can be used for larger boosts and also additional interview questions if I remember correctly. I think that level 15 driver acclaim is where all driver perks can be purchased. Team acclaim is helpful in getting additional sponsor on the car and also to get sponsors to pay the team more money. Level 20 team acclaim is where all 4 additional sponsors can be contracted. The above is my understanding based on playing the game so of course there may be errors. I don't know why Codemasters will not release a proper and detailed game manual where everything is laid out in detail. I ageee it’s frustrating that so much of this is hidden from the user. For example, an activity may earn 100 team acclaim points. But without being able to see the points total and how many between each level, it’s impossible to know what this really means. My gut feeling is I think Codies have built a good system. I just think the UI needs more work and proper user feedback.
