Wil my PC run Grid 2019

Hi

My pc is about 5 years old

It plays Grid Autosport like a charm

It does play Grid 2019, but poorly, very poorly.

Its specs are

CPU - A10-5800k

MB - MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 MS-7721

RAM - 8gb

Video GTX 960

Questions:

Will 16GB ram do the job?

If not, will a GTX 1070 or 80 solve the problem?

Will my processor and MB handle a GTX 1070?

Tks!

Tks for replying

But how about you read my questions and then reply?

Tks again!

They did read your question, you posted your system specs; they replied with the system requirements for the game.

You PC meets those requirements, your A10 CPU is pretty much comparable in performance to the AMD FX 4300.

I wouldnt advise buying a GTX1070 to use on such an outdated and slow CPU (its from 2012), not to mention there are much newer (and better) GPU's on the market now. I would advise you build/buy a whole new system in all honestly, in order to take advantage of new CPU architectures and ram speeds. There is the potential that a GTX 1070 may bottleneck on your system, due to the CPU age/speed.

If I was in your shoes, I would wait till the RTX 3070 is fully available. it releases this month and is supposed to have RTX 2080ti performance for about £450; but chances are you wont be able to get your hands on one till 2021. AMD have a new Ryzen generation also about to release soon, so the wait will be worth it regardless.

your vga is fine to run in 1080p settings High (shadows and reflection Medium).
The bottleneck is the CPU, you need upgrade it. I would advise a i5 9400 or Ryzen 3600.
This upgrade will force you to replace also motherboard.

Here a example of same vga running Grid

Hi guys,

Tks for all replies and sorry for late response.

I was able to further adjust the video settings (I had not seen at first the advanced tab)

So am now able to play it with no lag, but with all settings at low

Good enough to try the game

So far I find Autosport better, hope I will change my mind!
