Throttle at 100 - how to solve this?

Hi guys

My oldest son have just purchased F1 2020 for PC yesterday, but he is struggling with a very strange error, which we can't resolve.

This error is there with a keyboard or a PS4 dual shock controller scheme, whenever we go through the setup of the custom control scheme, in the calibration screen the throttle is at 100 without touching any keys or the controller.

We have tried re-installing, updating gfx drivers, starting without keyboard, no PS4 controller, but still this error is there.

 

It's just unplayable with throttle at 100 at all time

 

What could cause this error ? anyone tried something similar?

NB. he is playing on windows 10, most recently updated and the PS4 controller works 100%, just not in this game.

I had this issue with my pedals when I switched to PC from PS4. I found a setting (I think it was in the control panel not the game) that said invert or something similar. It fixed it.

@Daugaard did you try just to re-assign same control to throttle? In Control scheme, find throttle, mark it and press what you want to use. It could be that it registered as inverted. It happened to me in many different games, simple re-assignment fixed the issue most of the time.

@Vstorm07 and @XanderSJX - thanks for your reply, will see if i can find that invert...

We have tried to re-assign the controller to the throttle, and even different assignments.

 

My son has only installed the game, and then before playing he wanted to assign first keyboard which had the problem, and then he tried the controller which had the same problem...

Update:

 

My son had made a custom keyboard scheme prior to my helping him, that scheme was enabled and it contained the faulty "full throttle", when i removed that and made a new custom PS4 controller scheme it now works.
