PC version is unplayable

Recommended Posts

  • Dreadful framerate, even at low settings (with an i5 2500k, 6950 2GB, and 12GB RAM)
  • OSD timing issues (AI times displaying as 0.00.000)
  • Using a 360 controller is impossible without having to create a custom layout
  • With the preset layout, the throttle will be stuck at 100%, and the car stuck in neutral. You cannot move the car at all.
  • Using a custom layout, there are huge issues with the thumbstick deadzones. The game thinks my right and left thumbsticks are constantly pointing left, making the car impossible to control. In addition, if I attempt to look back, the car goes haywire, steering me straight into a wall. Weird as hell

- I have a i5 3570k, Hd7950 3GB gpu and getting 60fps constant on Ultra.
- I'm was using a wheel which is impossible to use and now went onto Xbox controller find it perfect, havent changed anything on the button mapping.
- I havent had this issue at all, maybe your controller is broke if this is the case, I have had zero issues with my controller.

Great that your version works properly. Now take a look at the Tech Support forum.

My controller is fine. Any other game I play, it works perfectly. The issue is with THIS GAME.

I'm just leaving feedback on how my game and controller are, the game is playable for me. If my controller works fine then their is a problem on your end, it may have something to do with your poor performance which effects how the controller works in game.

Again, there is zero issues with my setup. My specs are more than enough to run the game, yet I and others are having constant issues with framerate. Do you think ALL our setups are somehow malfunctioning?

The issue is with THE GAME.

I'm also on PC and since the 2nd patch, all the FPS problems were solved and the game runs pretty well.

I have a G27 Wheel and the FFB is a little light to my taste.

I'm not sure if you're problem is due to the game...Keep looking to adjust your Wheel setups, maybe you'll the way to make it better. Good luck then.

Did it release at a particular time? I started downloading the game yesterday around 2pm (BST), and I don't think the game has updated itself since. I've launched it maybe 5 or 6 times, so it should've updated itself then.

I'd rather not have to redownload the game if possible

One question, maybe a stupid one...
I'm on pc and use a Xbox 360 controller, where can I adjust my controller settings like steering dead zone, steering linearity etc which were there in the earlier f1 games. It use to be in advance wheel settings but it is greyed in f1 2015 or have I missed it somewhere? Thx

U bet, really stupid...just don't understand why they have given it as an option and greyed it? Maybe patch it later?

That's not grey at all because everyone I know is able to adjust that. I did pretty easily. Look into all the menus and try to learn the different features we get into that game from F1 2014. Good luck then.

That game introduced new ways to travel into the different menus and we all have to do a basic effort to become at ease with these menus. When this step is done, you'll have a different opinion about the game and you'll enjoy it much more. It's always a question of personnal feelings anyways. The main thing to do is to have a positive approach about it.

Just to update, I tried finding the deadzone options, but like @Jaiveen the Advanced Wheel Options selection is greyed out.

No other menus point towards additional controller options.

Well, I don't know how many times I can repeat myself. Every other game I own works perfectly. F1 2011/12/13/14 all work perfectly.

The technical assistance forum says it all, quite frankly.

To everyone who claims that every single problem of this game is a fault of the people having that issue because "their rig is bad"... Just stop, really.

You could use the advanced wheel settings with every single controller you had plugged in back in every single Codemasters F1 game, but not in 2015 as it's greyed out with any other controller that isn't an officially supported wheel. That's obviously stupid and unreasonable.

I anyways enjoy all the f1 games released till date, I do not complain like others as I'm a big f1 fan and this is the best one can get to feel the real f1 experience. I'm sure it's not perfect but it's good to have a nice f1 game.

I still can't find the advance wheel setting option. It is still greyed for me. I understand you have travelled into different menus and explored all the stuff, it would be really nice if you could share the way to deal this.i would like to have a much stable driving experience than a wobbly one. Thx
(my controller is brand new so I don't think there is anything wrong with it)
