Calcihver 0 Posted October 11 Hi, I was doing my best run in the F1 Esports event and I was improving my time by 1.5 seconds. The race got finished and I was really happy with my result, but then suddenly this happened: https://prnt.sc/uxd86v It is really frustrating because I have a very good chance to qualify for the Challenger series as I made it to the Pro Draft last year. It needs to be fixed somehow because it heard that it is a common problem. Some results get saved, some don't and mine sadly did not. Problems like these remove all the enjoyment you get from this game, because the happiness you get when you do good, is just taken away. I'm really sad that it happened and hopefully, it will get fixed because really good drivers might just lose their spot because of that game crash. Let me know if you have any additional questions Thanks
Calcihver 0 Posted October 12 (edited) OK, the crash happened again, but the game kept running somehow. I finished my run and it showed 0 score. After that, my best result was reset and now whatever time I do, it shows 0 score. I verified files and ran both DirectX 11 and 12, but it did not help. The best result is still on at the Esports table and I hope it does not get removed. I'm 11th: https://prnt.sc/uxrzms Please help me because I do not want to lose my best score as I would qualify for the Challenger series at the moment and also I want to keep improving my time, but at the moment it is impossible because of the bug or glitch. BarryBL 4,313 Posted October 12 Hi, Thanks for adding your issue. However, we require all bug reports to follow and complete the template below. This is critical information Codemasters needs to be able to see your bug clearly. Link: Please add your bug report onto this thread or I will not be able to replicate or diagnose Can you post your DXDiag and in-game settings too please @Calcihver
Calcihver 0 Posted October 12 (edited) A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. I was trying to improve my time as usual, but in the middle of the event, the game crashed (froze). I was frustrated and went away, but when I came back 2 minutes later and sat behind the wheel again, the game suddenly started running again. It was a good run from me and I thought I will finish it to get a better score. I finished the race and it showed me that my score was 0. After that, I went to the leaderboards in the game and it showed my score as "-", so it had been reset. I tried to do one more run, but the score is still 0 after the finish. I verified the files and tried with both DirectX 11 and 12, but still the same result. I did not see any error codes, I believe something popped up, but it was only for a millisecond. Platform PC What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) The latest, 1.10 I believe. I am reinstalling my game, so can't watch right now Game-mode? F1 Esports event. We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? Probably not, I do not know why it froze. How do you make the problem happen? It made itself. I have some stuttering with DirectX12 and the crash happened with that as well. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue. I guess I have no chance to fix this issue because I can not get my time back. I tried to verify files and also tried to run in both DirectX11 and 12, but none of them helped to get my score back and also fix the issue where I can not improve my time. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Fanatec CSL Elite F1 Set. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. I have only proof that my score is on the F1Esports.com leaderboard: https://prnt.sc/uxrzms. (I'm 11th). It will probably get removed as well when it gets updated. I can't show you my in-game settings because I do not have F1 installed at the moment. I used 1440p and ran on ultra-low graphic settings. V-sync was off, just used some kind of Anti-aliasing, but do not remember what exactly and I believe that Filtering was on 8x. DxDiag.txt Edited October 12 by Calcihver fixed my english and gave additional information
BarryBL 4,313 Posted October 12 Hi @Calcihver Upon the next attempt, please see if this happens again. This could be a wide range of issues, from connectivity to game support. Would be great to see if others get this too.
Calcihver 0 Posted October 12 (edited) Hi, I reinstalled my game and still the same problem. The score screen says the goal is Passed, but everything else is 0 (fastest lap, etc). The best score is also "-" still First time launching game after reinstalling I had a black screen right after I launched the game. Closed the game from Task manager and reopened the game again. I do not know if it related to the main problem, but might be helpful. Also, it felt like that game was not running so smoothly that it was before. I'm thinking to reinstall my windows now. steviejay69 1,100 Posted October 13 (edited) Another MSI board and a GTX1070? I wish they would use unique identifiers or fill in all the BIOS strings. B150/Z170? @Calcihver Exact board name please. Reinstall with 2004 if you do reinstall Windows? Edited October 13 by steviejay69
Calcihver 0 Posted October 13 (edited) Yes, MSI motherboard and GTX 1070. I bought 1070 later. I have an MSI B150A Gaming Pro motherboard. I reinstalled windows and it has version 2004, but nothing helped. I think it must be related to my Codemasters or Steam account. I do not have an opportunity to try someone else's account to test it. I'm starting to feel hopeless now. ☹️ Edited October 13 by Calcihver
BarryBL 4,313 Posted October 13 Have you tried your Connectivity settings? If you are running a Firewall, ensure it is set to allow the game to communicate on the following ports for both inbound and outbound traffic: TCP and UDP port 3074. Can you not create a new account and borrow it from the Steam store on the same PC and test that way at all?
Calcihver 0 Posted October 13 (edited) Just checked my connectivity settings. All seems to be good and working fine. Yeah, I guess I can create a new account and borrow. I'll try that if I do not find another account. Edited October 13 by Calcihver

Try to ensure Fanatec equipment is connected via USB 2.0 ports (located beneath PS/2 port) on rear panel. For the connection of any keyboard or mouse, please use the front panel connectors from JUSB1 only. I know it seems silly but please ensure 1070 is in PCI_E2. Calcihver 0 Posted October 13 (edited) What do I need to do with UEFI 1G? Where can I check if I have ASMedia drivers installed or not? I'm not that professional, sorry about that. Fanatec has been always connected to the USB 2.0 ports. I can't use the front panel for the keyboard or mouse both, because my keyboard has 2 USB wires. I will change the 1070 PCI slot tomorrow or later today. How should those things help? Edited October 13 by Calcihver
Calcihver 0 Posted October 13 (edited) OK, I had a chance to borrow my friend's account and everything works fine on that account. So, there is something to do with my account. What is the next step? Also, I will say it again, I do not want to lose my personal best time in the event if reset or something like that is needed. Unzip and copy the file E7978IMS.1G0 to a USB stick. The process is described under Update BIOS in Manual P23 (M-FLASH) If you have not installed ASMedia drivers, then this will have the WU/Inbox driver, so all good. OK so connect the keyboard to one of the USB 3.0 (ASMedia USB) ports, seeing that we have the WU/Inbox driver should be OK. Changing the 1070 PCI slot would be very important for performance, PCI_E2 has all 16 PCI-E lanes connected, the other long slot has only 4 lanes (graphics bandwidth would be reduced, impacting peformance). I would be surprised if you do not have it connected correctly, but I saw the board had two slots so it's a no-brainer to check. BarryBL 4,313 Posted October 14 Hi @Calcihver, Can you please check if this now works for you off a fresh boot and completion of the event
Calcihver 0 Posted October 14 (edited) OMG, thanks a lot for your help guys. I got a score and the game seems to be finally working now! What happens with my best score and do I need to reconnect something (accounts etc) again because of the boot @BarryBL? And do you have any idea why this happened? I know what to avoid next time if I get the same thing again. 5 hours ago, steviejay69 said: This updates your motherboard (there is a slew of fixes since your 1.50). Yes @janbonator, opening these ports across all platforms would be a benefit. Not much more in terms of sorcery I'm afraid, but these ports are pretty critical.
steviejay69 1,100 Posted October 14 I definitely think the online services would have been tinkered with to sort the actual issue.
Calcihver 0 Posted October 19 Hi Sorry to bring this topic up again, but my best score is gone as well from the leaderboard now. Can you get it back for me? Screenshot of proof is up, I sent it before. Thanks
