petro1319 120 Posted October 20 Today I got the message in my inbox for the drivers stat update. I did not apply it; instead I went into the new My Team mode I created last night and took a picture of each drivers overall rating. Exited. Applied the update to existing saves. Re-loaded the my team save. Went through the list of drivers again compared to my photo's.. There is ZERO change in any driver's overall rating. I didn't look at each of the 4 stats separately though. Just the overall. Example. Mick Schumacher was a 62 before the update. Still is. s00zster 262 Posted October 21 Just had this mail myself now. No idea if the stats are included in the patch as standard or if the stats only come with the mail. Prior to applying the mail, on a fresh save with the new patch, I've been getting Albon on the podium, Vettel just got a podium in my latest race. Schneehase 27 Posted October 21 (edited) Yup driver stats have been updated together with the patch - there is a message in your in game mail asking if you want to apply the stats. There is an article about the driver stat changes on the games webpage, that article may have been published a little too late. Decent changes by the way, even if you can always question one or the other detail (where has Hamilton lost skill, where has Grosjean found any, how has Latifi improved way more than Gasly, say). And times i am thinking we could use a "talent" stat, or a "marketability" one. Hmm maybe that would be overdoing things, then again "experience" does not cover it all at least not for me - there is something that goes beyond experience, being a GP winner, being a champion, being a multiple times champion. That could be reflected better in the stats, I believe. I accepted the ratings changes last night. Latifi is a 62 at the start of my new My Team mode. None of these other changes highlighted in the article show up in my game either. So let me get this straight, Bottas, who lost the lead at the last race due to a lockup, basically has no effect on his awareness, which is defined as car control in the game. In Russia, Bottas could not get his qualifying lap due to cold tyres, and he even gave Mercedes’ main rival, Verstappen, a tow on his final lap. Unless Mercedes wanted Bottas to start P3 in Russia due to the cleaner side of the grid oferring a grip advantage at the start, then this is ridiculous to keep Bottas at 99 and Hamilton at 83. A 16 POINT DIFFERENCE? You are telling me that the best driver on the grid has 83 awareness? Similar to Vettel at 81 awareness? Who is just a spin magnet? Hamilton’s incident at Monza does not merit a -5. It was a very unique situation, and the team also has some of the blame on this.
