How to get a F1 Refund on digital purchases in Australia

Recommended Posts

Gday Guys

Just giving everyone a heads up on how to get a refund if you purchased the game digitally on xbl or psn if you are in australia
by law we are covered to get refunds on purchases if they are defective

you can read up more on the laws here
http://www.consumerlaw.gov.au/content/the_acl/downloads/consumer_guarantees_guide.pdf

PSN
Call this number
Australia - 1300 365 911
New Zealand - 09 801 1235

Go into the PSN area through the phone prompts
when you speak with the phone operator please state that you want to get a refund on your digital purchase of F12015 as the game is defective and refunds are lawful under ACCC guidelines for that reason
if they want details simply list one of the many bugs which can be found on the forums

They will take down your details (make sure you have your console serial number handy)...you will gte a phonecall from a supervisor a short time later who will then refund the amount

XBL

Australia

Hours of operation:

7.00am to 9.00pm - Monday to Friday

9.00am to 5.00pm - Saturday and Sunday

Xbox or Games for Windows Support

(02) 8031-8186 (if you are in Sydney) or 1 (800) 555 741

You will most likely go through to a phone operator depending on where they have routed their helpdesk

You may need to be more specific with these operators as they follow the scripts of we do not provide refunds.....you must state that under australian law the item is defective and if they are not going to provide a refund you will lodge a complaint with the ACCC with their name....you will then get transferred to their supervisor who will then take down your details and will either refund you on the spot or will contact you a short time later once they have confirmed the australian laws...they key to your conversation is the word DEFECTIVE

this game is DEFECTIVE and should not of been released in this state
