Huggsmd 0 Posted November 8 (edited) I booted the game and was prompted to make a new profile. When I got to the main menu all of my data was gone (Profiles, game saves, customisation, settings, car setups) Steam version 1.12 I have tried restarting the game, steam, and my pc. I signed out and back into steam. I tried to sync my local steam files to their cloud files, nothing so far has helped Edited November 8 by Huggsmd

saas78 0 Posted November 19 Hi, I have the same issue, my player profile is gone, I had to create a new player profile and all my Shop Items and Career save games are gone. - I play on PC/Steam - Version 1.13 - all, in the Menu - player profile is gone so no way of making that happen again - I just started the game after updating, then my Player Profile was gone - No way of fixing it, i tried restarting but now i always end up in the new profile - T150 Thrustmaster (which btw doesnt work either since 1.13)
steviejay69 1,100 Posted November 20 I've had this happen to me. Two things. You can never, ever play career on this game until the patch cycle is over. It's happened every year AFAIK. There is a chance you will lose your progress, IDK why. That's a question for Codemasters. I stopped using Steam cloud sync and basically use W10 File History to include the Steam Userdata folder. The fact that Steam will just sync your local files by default and when the local file is somehow instructed to be overwritten with or without the confirmation (again I have to look at Codemasters again as to why), then there seemed to be no way of recovering the lost data from Steam Cloud (basically the sync is automatic and out of your control) not to mention the lost data when you have a game crash or Steam exits unexpectedly (again not unknown). Autosave only goes so far. If your data is anywhere it will be in that Userdata folder. Good luck.
