barrett790 1 Posted November 12 Playing on PS4 game version 1.12, game mode is My Team. Whenever driving through the pit lane the fuel consumption is crazy. The amount of laps of fuel literally ticks down 0.01 quicker than every second. For example if I enter the pit lane with 5.00 laps of fuel, as the car drives along the pit lane that number drops rapidly 4.99, 4.98, 4.97 and so on. I can lose half a lap of fuel on certain tracks just to make a stop. It happens the same at every track. I haven’t tried other game modes to see if they’re the same. Using game pad only. barrett790 1 Posted November 12 I feel like it have covered all of those points just without the bullet points but I’ll do it again anyway. Whenever driving through the pit lane the fuel consumption is crazy. The amount of laps of fuel literally ticks down 0.01 quicker than every second. I can lose half a lap of fuel on certain tracks just to make a stop PS4 1.12 My Team it happens every time I enter the pit lane. Every session. Every track. I do use pit lane assist. It always happens. Checked game was up to date. Using only PS4 gamepad I have no screenshots or videos
BarryBL 4,314 Posted November 13 HI @barrett790, Can you add a video please, similar to mine below. Fuel consumption seemed to behave as expected. Remember, that starting again from stopping will expend fuel. F1 2020 - DX12 2020.11.13 - 13.07.23.01_Trim.mp4
barrett790 1 Posted November 13 I will add a video when I next get on the game. The starting from stopped is not the issue. The value is dropping as driving through the pit lane. Maybe a “My Team” specific issue?

The value is dropping as driving through the pit lane. Maybe a “My Team” specific issue? The video was with Auto ERS, try both to see if that is a cause for the difference. Also the 5 lap setting does use fuel differently to the other distances. When you are on the pit limiter it makes sense to change the fuel mix to Lean as it makes no difference to the speed of the car.
barrett790 1 Posted November 13 I always switch to lean in the pits. Manual ERS. assists in use for me are medium TC, ABS, auto gears, pit lane assist and release.

Ah, thanks for the detail @barrett790, I'll have another look. Please add a video when possible so I can try and replicate from your example directly. barrett790 1 Posted November 13 Here’s a video. For reference, this was in FP2 of a weekend in My Team mode. Season 1. Honda engine. This happens the same in every session at every track. FullSizeRender.mov

BarryBL 4,314 Posted November 13 By Design on this one @barrett790 In your example, practice sessions measure their fuel mix differently to in races. Even though you are in lean there, its actually taken away around 0.27 of a lap of fuel coming into the pitlane in practice. I wouldn't class this as critical really. If you run the same comparison while in Race conditions, you will find that the lean mixture performs as expected.
