F1 2015 PC Patch 14/07/15

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

Since the launch of F1 2015, we have become aware that some people are currently experiencing issues while playing the game. Please be assured that we are treating these issues very seriously and are constantly monitoring the forums and our social media pages for your feedback, please keep that information coming.

To help support us with this effort we request you provide clear and detailed descriptions of the issues you are seeing, along with hardware details (for PC users), to aid us in replicating and fixing the issues as quickly as possible.

Alongside this, we have just pushed a new patch to the PC version of the game which contains a number of fixes. We’re aware that this will not fix everyone’s problems and we are continually working to resolves these issues as fast as we can.
Notes for the PC patch are as follows;
  • Fixed crash caused when switching between game running in a window to running in full screen
  • Fixed crash going to track, or when driving on track when in 800x600 resolution with Ultra high detail preset
  • Fixed crash when reducing the resolution of the game
  • Fix for game timer running too fast during frame spikes
  • Fix for camera speeding up at start of broadcast sequences
  • Fix for tyre regulations not correctly working in short Championship weekends
For players on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we know that many of you are also experiencing issues when playing the game and are working on patches for both consoles to go out as soon as we can.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and support. We will continue to work through the issues as a priority, and will update with more information as well as specific fixes as soon as they become available.

Ouch this update isn't going to go down well,  I think the fans were expecting a bit more after the radio silence.

This isn't the only thing we're working on. We have more patches planned.

Can you give us any more information regarding console patches?

Hmm, that's funny. I did a Control+F search on your post and looked for the word "sorry" and it says not found. Strange. Thanks CM.

At the moment, all I can tell you is that we know a lot of users are having issues, and we're working on getting them fixed and patched ASAP. Console patches go through a much different process than PC patches before going live, so take more time to implement.

Let's hope these are game changing fixes or additions as I believe by the end of next month I don't think anyone will be interested in playing any more, As it stands playing a Championship already feels incredibly dried up as there is no real progression to be made.

Sony and Microsoft have to approve the patches. It's the same as with PCars. It takes weeks.

I've got no issues with the game at all, I'm concerned for the community that have been waiting for CM to speak up and take action.

Hey guys. I appreciate the patch and the work going into the game post-launch; but the new patch has created a MAJOR new problem for me.

I'm on PC, and my game ran fine (problems with the AI not withstanding). But since downloading the patch, whenever I try to pause, the game instead freezes and crashes instantly; no pause menu even appears. The game just sits there unresponsive until I CTRL ALT DEL out and close the game with the Task Manager.

I have tried rebooting the PC to make sure it wasn't a weird quirk but it's prevalent. This renders pausing impossible, which naturally is a wee bit of an issue.

Nice work @LiteralZeroIs there any chance of adding a weekend weather forecast in the game. I know there is a session one but I'm not seeing one for the full weekend which kind of defeats the purpose of having the parc ferme rules on.

Yeah I think some of the camera's need a little work the T-cam needs raising little as well as it's a little hard to see my braking points compared to the earlier games

I hope you guys fix the online issues ASAP ... Frustration for us league drivers & admins is growing by the hour. Some of us actually boxed back the game until online issues especially the de-sync problem gets fixed
The issues happening with us online on PS4 that I and my friends experienced:
1. Custom lobby gets de-synced. You race ghosts instead of drivers
2. Cars without rubber on wheels
3. T500 F1 steering wheel looses speed. I have to unplug it then plug it back while game is on to regain speed, I am talking 2-3 seconds worth of speed

Thanks

Is there any plans  that we will be able to create our own custom race in multiplayer included in the game as the hoppers thing is clearly not working and I'm finding it impossible to even find a lobby to race thanks

Thanks for the reply. I know console patches have to go through the verification process and it can take some time for Sony and Microsoft to do this. Here's hoping they don't take too long!  :#
