Weekly Events and the 2021 F1 Esports qualifying series ( I guess I should add that a response from CM about this is expected...)

Recommended Posts

Some of you may not know that the top 5 players from each Weekly Event get contacted by the F1 Esports team and are offered a place in the time trial route of the F1 Esports Series 2021. It goes directly to the 1st place individual. If they fail to reply within a certain time frame it then goes to the 2nd place and so on until 1 out of the 5 replies and confirms they would like to take part. I myself have received 4 messages from The F1 Esports team. One of which I will place a screenshot of below so you can understand the importance of what I'm about to write. Currently in the Brazil event we have P1 and P2 with no qualy time and absolutely obserd scores. Anybody with a half working brain can look at them and realize they are not possible unless a glitch/cheat took place. Now it's obvious that you don't have a plan or policy in place to keep this from happening because I've been on you guys for months to stop it and you haven't done anything. ZERO. It's still happening. Now that we have these events counting towards getting a qualifying spot in the F1 Esports Series 2021, have you notified the F1 Esports team that there will be scores on the Leaderboard that are not legit? Have you designated a staff member with knowledge of what the scores should be to notify the F1 Esports team of these obvious fraudulent scores so they do not offer a spot in the F1 Esports Series to an individual who does not deserve it? This is not the first event that has counted towards the F1 Esports Series Qualifying that has had fraudulent scores. There's 32 in all that will be counted. So 32 individuals will be able to take place in the Time Trial route of the F1 Esports Series 2021. How many of these 32 will be these individuals with obserd scores with no qualy times?

This same glitch happened in the Mexico Weekly event as well where the top guy had 600k points. It's so annoying

I informed the Esports team when I sent them an email. Russia had it too. I haven't heard anything back yet. I also let them know that the Events with rain are not fair to each player as it rains at different times during every race. Japan for example, I had inters on the whole race where the guy who won, had a race where he pitted for softs on lap 5. I actually had a conversation with him and he confirmed this. He was a nice guy, he even admitted he was lucky to get a race with very little rain. I let them know that. Those events don't reflect the top 5 fastest players. They reflect the players who were lucky enough to get a race with the least amount of rain. There's so much wrong with the way this is run... but not surprised.

Yeah the Japan one I noticed after two races. I started to look at the rain icons in the strategy menu and realised it's random. Me and Terrorracer had the best race weather scenario in our first attempt but at the time we didn't realise it would be our only chance so yeah... I don't think changeable weather is fair

@Mikulitsi Yea you guys are quick. I see you on the Leaderboards often. I'm The_IckleBickle. I unfortunately had some issues trying to compete in Brazil. Twice I was not able to join a race due to "no suitable match found" and when I finally got into a race, I was 20 seconds up on P2 on lap 10 and I got booted and it said this session no longer exists. I tried again later Sunday only to get booted from the lobby with 10 seconds remaining on the countdown. Again I was told "this session no longer exists". I'm not wasting my time with Spain this week. I'm slowly getting turned off the Weekly GP's. Between the fraudulent scores and the online issues, it's not worth putting in time to basically get nowhere on the weekend. I really enjoy Featured Events much more now.

That's me. I'm usually in the top 10 by the end of an event. The one I'm most proud of was the featured event at Zandvoort. I got P6. There were some heavy hitters in that one. It actually got me an invite to join a competitive league, which I did.

Yeah the featured events always attract some of the best drivers in the league racing community
