andysonofbob 0 Posted December 2, 2020 I have a G29 wheel and shifter. I am struggling to reach for the button, which is on the wheel that I have set for handbrake. I was thinking of buying a cheap usb button which I will stick onto the side of my shifter. Will DR2.0 recognise this as an input? Thanks!
PJTierney 5,289 Posted December 7, 2020 Good question. Theoretically, if you can use a keyboard and wheel at the same time then having a USB button that your PC thinks is a keyboard should work too. Can't confirm though, this is just my guess. If you're playing on console though, this won't work; of that I'm certain. My solution as a Fanatec user was to purchase the paddle shifter upgrade which gave me multiple paddles behind the steering wheel, two of which I mapped to handbrake. I have my wheel think that one of the buttons on it is keyboard input when pushing it to have the handbrake mapped on two buttons, each side of the wheel. Im using Antimicro for this.
