Omg that's old, that was my first game on the Playstation, I loved that game, I especially liked the track which you hear when you type in the cheat: "ToNyPaRk" (Lol even remember the cheatcode).

Personally really liked this one from DD2:

Ok when i play sim - simcade racing game i dont listen to the music , just car's engine sound...
With pure arcade games like NFS i hear beat and dance music usually.. But as you uploaded music from ps1 period i show you my favorite game's music from this great period.. Twisted Metal 1 theme.. Lets rock!

Rally game + music during race... does not compute in my head
Haven't been around for long enough then.

December, 1995. Sega Flash #1 demo disc for Sega Saturn.
Playable demo of Sega Rally, Forest Stage, prior to the games release the following year.

That's the story not just of my first experience of a rally game, but of rally itself.
It's why the Celica GT4 ST205, Delta HF Integrale and Stratos are so important to me in a rally game.
(and I'm a Brit. Might have been the year Colin won the WRC, but 10 year old me had never heard of him and I didn't until 1998 because of a little game bearing his name)

Heh I was overstating a bit there, I'm not much into those games anymore... that game might be interesting though, might give it a try if there'll be a demo

Not probably while playing as such...But in the replay, I hope many people will agree with me that this song will give the punch that the current DiRT Rally soundtrack needs ;) The master of EDM, Electro, House, and Progressive House: Eric Prydz (Pryda) - Miami to Atlanta

"Gotta go fast!" lol
I can't concentrate with background music, I need to hear the engine and co-driver constantly.

Music? What? I'm concentrating on the engine, the co-driver, and the road noise.

Music would be too distracting.

Dirt Rally is actually one of the few games where I don't listen to music at all. I did listen to music almost constanty while playing GRID Autosport and during some Endurance Races, I do the same in pCARS but none in Dirt Rally... it's hard to say 'what kind of music' I listen to, I'd have to post my entire playlist for that, but there's a lot of All Time Low in there :D

DR tends to be a bit hectic and fast to listen to music and play seriously. Sometimes if I'm doing a stage I know really well and not going for time, I'll put on my driving playlist consisting of indie to rock, classic to metal, a little bit of chillstep. I do play music in track games and I just fell like doing some laps, because repetition will allow me to go faster eventually anyway.

Actually I tried listening to eurobeat(yes, I actually loved Initial D), and the genre does work well for listening while driving at these paces, although I keep a bit low so I can hear the in-game sound and the codriver.

Apperantly I already replied in here, I seen it too late, anyway, I listen to the engine and the co-driver, can't concentrate if I listen to music while racing a rally.

While playing i listen only Paul Coleman & The Engines, but if i'm watching a replay of Group B cars.. well then there is nothing like these two songs to get you on the mood sometimes

-Frank Stallone - far from over
-Push It to the Limit from scarface

Seriously, put an group b era compilation video from youtube that has only engine sounds on it and to another window that Frank Stallones song and hit play to both! That is some era correct collaboration going on
