LordLambert 2 Posted December 7 A detailed description of the issue. Ā During a League Racing Event (round 5, though this also occurred on round 4) I was able to participate in the free practice session and Quali. The game hung while loading the race after qualifying and required me to restart the game and join in as the game had already started. Not only was the AI in control for the start of the race despite me being back in time, it had also put 70 laps of fuel in the car, when the race was a 50% distance, 35 lap race. Platform PC Steam What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen)Ā 1.13 Ranked/Unranked/Leagues League Wired or Wireless Connection? Wired The amount of players in your session? 10 Were you the host? No Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see? Just myself. The other players saw my car start the race and drive awfully, ghosting in and out before I was able to take control. We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? Yeah, happened 2 league races in a row so more than likely will happen again. How do you make the problem happen? Trying to league race. Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here. I am unsure if this is the correct code. I closed the game and reopened it since this occurred, however, it is also the most recent session I took part in. BarryBL 4,314 Posted December 8 So this happened to you 2 weeks in a row? Who is the host in the lobby and do you know their connectivity settings also. Also, thank you for the report code. I can add this as a report for the devs. If you can contact your league host too (if they are on the forums, even better) and get them to post their connectivity settings, that will help. LordLambert 2 Posted December 8 Yes it happened 2 weeks in a row now.Ā With it being a league, I don't know who the host would be. The person that created the league though has a decently fastĀ internet connection. This is a speedtest he just did: and my own for completeness;
BarryBL 4,314 Posted December 8 Would be host specific really. I'm just sort of wondering if the league knew who the host was/normally is. Looks to be a connectivity issue somewhere with your setup and the hosts, as its only happening to you. I'll get the report codes looked at too.

Honestly we (the league owner and I ) were both under the impression that leagues were hosted by Codies or Steam. He is usually the first person to join the lobby though, so maybe it is him? I don't know. Ā We did a test with an unranked lobby, though with fewer players, and there was no issue at all. Edited December 8 by LordLambert
BarryBL 4,314 Posted December 8 No. We operate on a P2P basis, so maybe it is something regarding a connection and yours not agreeing. Is there someone in the league maybe based further away geographically. Would presume it is the owner.Ā
LordLambert 2 Posted December 8 The owner is based in the Midlands in the UK, I am on the west coast of Finland. He was also the host during our recent unranked test that went smoothely.Ā
BarryBL 4,314 Posted December 8 From the clips, the leagues loading seems to be slower. Is the league host on the forums at all? Also, can you add the league name here so we can check that too.
LordLambert 2 Posted December 9 The League is called Nix Go Speed, the owner being ChrisbyFlanker. I will ask him to comment on this post.Ā
ChrisbyFlanker 2 Posted December 9 I am the host of Nix Go Speed Ignore the name, this was like the 5th iteration after we had to restart it so many times because of 'option lockout' after creation time
BarryBL 4,314 Posted December 9 Hi @LordLambert and @ChrisbyFlanker We're looking into the report codes and the MP sessions now.Ā From the report codes, the sessions that logged had some very mixed connection issues in them. Your practice session looks OK, but the launch for the qualifying session has poor connectivity and the launch for the race was disastrously bad, so it looks like a temporary internet issue to me. Some of the ping is so bad that cars will always be marked as disconnected and will desync. This is possibly causing the double fuel. Some of your launch sessions look good, and have stable connection, but others do not, and are very poor. Maybe there is a newer user in the lobby (over the past 2 weeks or so) that has joined, or maybe you've ran into some Internet issues. Have you reset your modem, checked ISP? Ā
LordLambert 2 Posted December 9 Is it not possible to tell which cars have this poor ping?
ChrisbyFlanker 2 Posted December 9 Resetting the modem for me is not often possible when my partner Izzi280 (also in the race) is streaming on the same network. We also have no issues in many other games with dedicated hosting options (arma 3 for example as a host). Is the game reliant on UPnP? Is there port forwarding options? We had 1 new driver (Viper_22b) who signed up at the start of the session in Spain (1 race ago) and also joined for Canada (previous race). Both these races had Lambert's issue happen in the exact same way. If 'saving sessions' in league mode wasn't also bugged we would be using that to circumvent bad race connection starts. I'd rather not use that option if possible to save the recursive returning to previous quali issue.
ChrisbyFlanker 2 Posted December 9 Might also be relevant: We have an international league with people from UK, Netherlands, Belgium and possibly others but I don't usually ask people for privacy reasons
ChrisbyFlanker 2 Posted December 9 (edited) update: Viper tells me he has suffered with an ongoing performance bug related to his 1060 nvidia gpu. I also have that card and have had no such issues. update 2 electric boogaloo: 2 other league racers have 1050ti and 1060 and experienced no issues (connection or performance) Edited December 9 by ChrisbyFlanker
LordLambert 2 Posted December 9 For what its worth I'm running with an r7 2700 CPU and r9 390 GPU. I have no performance problems, but have on occasion had the game blackscreen after a race and require a full PC restart to solve (I could close the game with task manager, but then the game would not reopen without a PC reboot)Ā
BarryBL 4,314 Posted December 9 Hi @LordLambert and @ChrisbyFlanker The game does use UPnP. If you are running a Firewall, ensure it is set to allow the game to communicate on the following ports for both inbound and outbound traffic: TCP and UDP port 3074. From the feedback, possibly something is affecting Viper's system that may be causing some performance issues, especially if this has happened only recently. Maybe that is graphics card related (new drivers needed) Ā
ChrisbyFlanker 2 Posted December 9 Okay, ports have been forwarded. I will ask everyone to update gpu drivers. We will see what happens next monday when we race as usual. I will try remember to post results here afterwards. Thanks for your help and fast responses
BarryBL 4,314 Posted December 9 Thanks @ChrisbyFlanker, I'd ask your other racers to forward the ports too. Affects all usersĀ š Ā Ā
