Hello, my backup in pilot career seems corrupted (impossible to join). I am in the phase of the F2 races in Monaco and it is following a retirement from the main race that I can no longer load the sprint race.
I am on PC (Steam), is it possible to reload a previous save or it is lost forever?

Hello, I have a problem when I want to start a career mode sprint race on F1 2020 during the F2 phase at Monaco because I no longer have roadworthy tires available. The game systematically crashes when loading the race. I attach the crash dump to this message. 

Platform : PC (Steam)

Game version : 1.13

Game-mode : Carrer Mode (during F2 phase)

I can reproduce this bug on any F2 game mode only.

To reproduce this problem, you must launch a main race of F2 with the damage in simulation mode in Monaco and systematically puncture each set of tires in your possession (even the rain tires) so that there is no more of tires available for the sprint race.
Then you have to finish the race and move on to the next one and there the crash occurs, probably because the game cannot load tires on the car since they are all ruined.

I tried to relaunch the game several times but were unsuccessful and I'm not sure if it's possible to revert to a pre-race save but I would have liked to have done that.

I am using a PS4 Dualshock 4 gamepad.

I don't have screenshots of this problem but it occurs on a black screen while loading the sprint race.

I must ask, how have you punctured ALL of your tyres. I take it you have to retire from the race and move onto the next race weekend. Is this where the crash is happening? If the crash is happening mid-session, have you tried to start the race? I don't quite understand how you've managed to do this to be honest.

I purposely punctured all sets of tires in an attempt to find out how the game would react if I didn't have any available for the second race.
And instead of moving on to the next race weekend like I had assumed, the game crashes before the second race loads. It's easily reproducible in F2 on a main race in 5 laps or 25% where you just have to puncture your front tire on a barrier in Monaco and change it with a new set by returning to the pits at each lap. We finish the race by retire and the sprint race cannot load

Thanks for the report.

Realistically, unless you are intentionally doing this, there's no major stability issue here in my opinion. Crashing never 'makes sense', but it wouldn't be illogical here. Due to absolutely low percentage of occurrences that this would happen to a player (I don't think its possible without actually trying to do this), I can't see this as being urgent enough to address. I'll mark as 'by design', because I'm sure that playing through the game weekend as designed, this instance wouldn't occur.

To go back on track on this one, has your savegame now corrupted?

Yes, you are right this bug would hardly be feasible "by chance" but it's funny enough that no one thought about it.
I think my save is corrupted since I can't go back to a save before the first race (at least I don't know how I could do that). But it doesn't really matter if it's really not possible to get it back!

I guess it is by design as there's nothing in the F2 regs to stop teams fitting their entire tyre allocation for the remainder of the weekend (allocation is tight) to a car during a feature race.

But also the game should realise the car can't be entered without tyres and thereby the sprint race should be skippable (with a DNS result).
