Still no fix for the 360 controller issues? That's what, 3 patches now?
The solution is posted in another thread. Unplug your pad, start the game. When the game has loaded, plug your pad back in.

That particular workaround only solves one issue, and doesn't work for myself and others. It is not a solution. The issues regarding controller deadzones with custom layouts remain regardless.

Of course, Codemasters won't tell us anything. LiteralZero barely has anything to work on, other than It's In The Works™

That's because he signed a Non Disclosure Agreement, which means he is only allowed to tell you what Codies say he is allowed to tell you.

I understand that. The point I'm making is, he has NOTHING to tell us. Who's at fault there? Codemasters.

It all links back to Codies refusing to communicate on their own forums.

The problem with blur is that they just have to give the option for chromatic aberration on/off.

You're missing the point though. They all sign the same NDA

The game still jumps to windowed mode all the time. It's unplayable! Have only been able to complete one whole lap so far!

Codies ("they"?) signs a big NDA refusing to discuss their own game? What?

Reread my posts. LiteralZero is a big gateway for Codies to discuss bugfixes etc. If Codies don't allow him to disclose ANYTHING, then it's CODIES fault.

Ok Mr Literal, Every member of Codemasters has signed an NDA, each one is slightly different to the rest, but the contents will have been similar.

They (Codies devs) are not allowed to talk about certain aspects of the game, even when they (Codies devs) want too. The original reason for an NDA is not to stop info getting to us (the forum members), it's to stop corporate espionage. We (the forum members) and they (Codies dev's) get stuck with the result (little to no information when things go wrong, except of course for the standard, 'We are working on it').

The need for NDA's in multimillion pound/dollar international industries is not Codemasters fault, it is a fault of the system. If companies didn't try to steal other companies information, or individuals try to sell such information they (NDA's) wouldn't be needed. Unfortunately, people and companies do just that.

So I'll answer your question with a question. Are Codemasters to blame for trying to protect their intellectual property, or the people who would sell that property, or is it those that would buy it?

Corporate espionage? What the hell do bug fix ETAs have to do with espionage?

Talk about melodrama. I'm not asking for Codies to release source code, I'm asking for information on when I can use a controller properly.

It's not melodrama, it's sarcasm. You know, like what you did with your 'One big NDA' response. You played the fool, so I responded as if you were the fool you were pretending to be.

How do you expect them to answer you when they don't have an answer that you will accept? They won't give you an ETA because if it takes them longer you will be back demanding to know where your patch is on the day of the ETA, along with everybody else that wants it.

It wasn't sarcasm. Your post wasn't clear, which is what I pointed out. Maybe you should try explaining yourself more clearly the first time.

So we're playing the assumption game now? Why are you assuming that I won't accept anything? Where are you getting that from?
All I want is a solid ETA. "This week" or "Within a few days". Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

Oh, you mean that you really didn't know that everybody at Codemasters has to sign an NDA? My bad. Do you know what an NDA is?

I'm not playing any assumption game (except when I assumed that you knew what an NDA was and that you were being sarcastic about it). They've given you the only answer they can, you didn't accept it. They won't give you an ETA, if they did and over ran it, you (and countless others) would be back here demanding to know where the patch they promised you is.

Dude...
You aparently don't WANT to understand the basics of corporate communication and corporate policy so just jet it go for gods sake...
its not the point if he has even signed an NDA (yes, he has.) - its just the most basic of all basic corporate things: do not give ANY information you can't guarantee - period! ordinary problems everyone of us knows from his own job - ordinary solution - get it already.
besides that: it's not the community manager's job to decide what is going "out" and what isnt. they have specific press spokesman, just as every goddamn mid-tier-firm with more than 20 employees has.

I would like to know if SLI compatibility is being integrated into F1 2015 soon.

I would also like to know if the blurry graphics are being addressed (I think adding an MSAA option can fix this - TAA seems to be heavily involved; SMAA leaves too many jaggies).

You assumed that I wouldn't accept any answer. You assumed that I would whine if a fix didn't meet ETA. Then, you did it again:

"you (and countless others) would be back here demanding to know where the patch they promised you is."

An ETA is not a promise. It's an estimate. The clue is in the name. That's all I want, a rough idea.

Yet again, I don't want a guarantee. I want an ESTIMATE. You understand what an ETA is, yes?
Hell, even Bioware has better community interaction with SWTOR, and it's bad there. They usually never meet their estimates, but they inform people anyway.

I didn't say it was the community manager's job. Try not to make things up.

I have been reading this thread and have been really amused at the stick handling going on here. I know what a NDA is and I really do not believe that corporate policy or protocols should allow a corporation that sells a defective product, to tell the consumer (through an intermediary) we are working on it and that's all I'm going to tell you. At the very least the consumer has the right to know that "all" of the bugs are going to be fixed and what if any, of the features/options omitted in F1 2015 will be included in future (if any) updates. This does not put CM in any position of possibly missing a target and getting flamed.

Just a simple statement. Yes we are going to fix this and reintroduce that, no we are not going to reinstate this for F1 2015.

There is a lot of potential in this game and with a bit of dedication and hard work, CM has a chance to redeem themselves, just work with us, throw us a bone and you'll be surprised at the change in attitude on this and other forums.

How about fixing the "PRO MODE BUG" where all assists are ON and can NOT be turned off??? PLEASE!
Doesn't really matter Anthony, I don't even know why they even bothered with that feature at all. It can be almost completely replicated in championship mode, other than you can't restart the session or use the flashback feature or the hud. All you have to do is use champ mode, take all assists off, ignore these features and you've got pro mode as you like it.

I disagree that we're refusing to communicate, but I don't disagree with the sentiment. I'm not being told what I can and can't say really, I make that call myself. There is certain things I won't say for various reasons, but there is an immense amount of discussion and back and forth between myself and the teams in dev with regards to patches and timings and content etc.

I'm very strongly of the opinion that I would rather tell you that we've made fixes, when the fixes go live, rather than promising you something and then something changing in that meantime. Game development is a strange and cruel mistress sometimes, so me telling you that something is coming 'soon (tm)' is in my eyes, worse than saying nothing.

I'm very open to discussion though, I want us to be able to talk to each other properly about things like these.
