What are you playing on btw? I wonder all the time. From what it looks like it's the PS1-Version that even hade widescreen-support, but what kind of plattform? PS1?

It is the PS1 version but played on the PS3.
Recorded using Elgato!

What? You can play it on a PS3? Never thought it was possible. Can I play all PS1-Games on my PS3 if I insert them? (I am very new to consoles). Currently my HDMI is broken so I can't play console anyway. Why don't you use the Widescreen-Mode?

Some versions of the PS3 you can and some you can't.
I own a 250gb Slim PS3 and it works perfect for me,

I haven't played about with the screen settings, just left it as it was! :)

Thanks for the info, will try it out as soon I get a working Monitor again.

Maybe you should try the widescreen-mode for your lets plays, it's somewhere in the options. Maybe you get a better aspect-ratio :).

Never knew this was possible with consoles, I always hear friends saying they're selling their games because they got a new console, is this the same with Xbox? (just curious)

PS: nice videos, never played any of the Colin McRae games, used to play NFS until 2005 (original Most Wanted, ugh children and their taste for games, could've been playing CMR and ToCA)

A friend told me a year ago, that they added support for RalliSport Challenge 1+2 on Xbox360. So it depends on the game. Some are compatible, some are not. I don't own a XBox, so I can't guarentee it, but what he said motivates me to buy a 360, because I loved RSC1 on PC and 2 was never released on PC, but looks way more interesting.

You should try out Colin McRae Rally 1 and 2005 on PC. Most say CMR2 was the best, but I always preferred 1. 2,3,04 and 2005 look pretty much the same, but 2005 as the most content. There is a Win7-Patch for CMR1, that makes it playable on modern systems. For CMR2005 you should use No-CD-Patches because Starforce can mess up you OS.

Need for Speed Porsche on PC  is still a great game, did you play that, too? PS1 and PC are COMPLETELY different games.

Hm I might give CMR a try later, have a lot of games in my library I haven't finished yet ;)

Yeah I loved that one, couldn't finish it though, there was one race I couldn't finish. I've played NFS4 (High Stakes / Road Challenge, 1999) up and until NFS9 (Most Wanted, 2005).
Around that time I think I got ToCA 3 (DTM Race Driver 3), played that for quiet a while, than played the DiRT 2 demo, bought it not much later, and well the rest you can see in my signature :P

CMR1 is pure Rally nad some Head2Head. Here you find the Win7-Patch:
http://games.reveur.de/en/colin-mcrae-rally/patch/single/47/

You should try NFS4 on PS1, too. I plays like NFS Porsche on PC. PC-Version of 4 was more like NFS3-SE. But get NFS3, too - has some great Soundtrack^^. Carbon should be nice, too if you liked Most Wanted 2005 - though it crashed on me a lot. ProStreet was the last one I really enjoyed. It's  a little messy and unfinished, but for the most part it was some intense Racing. You should never buy Undercover, it looks and plays horrible and is completely unfinished.

You might try TOCA2, too. It's very similar to TOCA3 and has some nice Story-Campaign.

Yes and No - Porsche runs very good on modern OS, at least Win7, but you need to find many patches that are hard to find.

But I don't want to hijack this thread anymore, so I created a new topic here regarding NFS Porsch on Win 7:

Loved this game. The only game I had on my playstation for a long while and probably the main reason for my obsession with rally.
"Don't hurt the cones" -  Colin McRae. I wonder if we'll get a rally school in Dirt Rally?
