Rookie player and unable to play with the PC version.

I just installed the Dirt3 Windows Live to my PC from DVD (complete edition). I have Windows 8,1 and I´m not able to play the game for some reason. Installing the game went fine but computer says that "line 42 is missing".... When doing the troubleshooting I received info that update is available from Codemasters webpages.. How can I get it or what shall I do to get the game up and running?
