Y2Kev 6 Posted December 31, 2020 (edited) So I’m in the lead on the last lap of the Canadian Grand Prix and have a poor exit off the chicane towards the hairpin, Lewis gets by me when all of a sudden he loses control, slides right in front of me, I hit him and he spins, eventually crashing out. I don’t know if it was just a case of the tyres not being able to cope with the rain coming down. It had been raining for around 7 laps of a 25% distance race ( 18 laps ) but not raining hard enough for inters or wets. I got a call with around 2 laps to go that the engineer didn’t know whether dry or wet tyres would be better at that point. Anyway, I took some video for you guys to have a look. Enjoy. Also, what is your opinion of what happened? TO BE ABLE TO VIEW THE VIDEOS I AM HAVING TO MINIMISE MY PHONE SCREEN QUITE A LOT. ALSO JUST TAPPING UNDERNEATH THE WRITING WILL GET THE FIRST TO OPEN. ZtwoA 91 Posted December 31, 2020 Imo he got onto more wet place on gird or he just touched grass with his rear tyre while turning and he loose traction

Happy New Year to you! I had just resigned myself to second with one chance to hopefully stay close to him up to the hairpin then catch him using DRS when he spun out. I was actually disappointed when it happened as it suddenly became an easy victory as Bottas couldn’t catch me as a gap opened after the crash.
