thanks a lot!!! Is there also the fix for the  teammates pitstop? Change the Tires at the same time.
Doesn't this only happen if you go into the pits when your "pit busy" light is on, which (of course) you shouldn't?

Same problem like many players. Patch has removed controls settings. Impossible to calibrate and set my pad (logitech rumblepad). I can't play, i'm always out of track.

For those having problems with deadzone on steering with the G27, I fixed this by recreating my custom mapping - pick the G27 default, create a custom config from it, deadzone gone for me (and hopefully for you).

Most people said G27 is definitely unplayable now, is it true? Sad about that, I wanna play in weekend :/
For me, until this patch my G27 worked great. But after this patch, started the game and found massive dead zone, about ridiculous 70-80deg!!!!
I've reset my wheel in the profiler, calibrating, etc etc, reset settings in the the game (recreating custom profile)....
and after setting linearity for 100% (other value was worse, and of course in the game dead zone set to 0!) and in the profiler sensitivity to 100% (was originally 50%) I've managed to decrease this crazy dead zone to let's say 20 degrees.
I've also found that pedals are now much more sensitive the before patch (same track, same setup) so I had to change setup for back suspension (I can't imagine how to drive in Monaco after that patch).
Also found that after the patch the game quite often  "blinking" or scattering a little (@GTX970) randomly.

Ok, I have had a truly horrendous experience with my G27 since this patch. I didn't (at this time) even want to download this patch, but unfortunately due to previous settings, i could not stop it doing its thing as soon as I fired up Steam in an attempt to disable automatic downloads of updates.

After working on this for hours, trying to figure out how to fix this, I have found at least (for me) a bit of a fix. Out of desperation after trying everything I could think of, I deleted my appcache folder in steam and creating another in game profile for my wheel and that fixed it. Well sort of, because it only fixes it for that session. Once I exit the game and restart the game, every thing is good except there is still a unwanted dead zone there. I then go back into game settings, create another profile and I'm good to go again. At least I can race, no thanks to CM.

Anyhow, hope this might help anybody else who is having dead zone/spring strength/FFB problems.

I'm also having the steering deadzone problem, was fine las night and then went to play today tried to turn a corner and the car just drove straight into the wall. I need to turn the wheel (i'm using a Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Wheel) around 30 degrees for it to even register my input, and my deadzone is set at 0%

EDIT - Managed to fix the deadzone problem using the methods detailed above, but I have a separate issue that I've noticed since downloading the patch. When I move my wheel from left to right and vice versa a twitching happens at the centre point and it seems to mess up the saturation setting on my wheel until i return the wheel to the centre point. This means that for example on Silverstone I go through maggots left hand fine but as soon as I go to switch to the right I get the twitch and end up off the track as the steering lock becomes a lot less sensitive for a bit. This is making it very hard to play properly as I cannot properly go around any corners that flow like that.

Hi,

I'm on PC, with Fanatec CSW V2 and F1 wheel.

I have the same problems with massive deadzone. It's unplayable with the latest update!
And yes, I have assigned the axes for steering new in the options.

While you are on it, please patch the low volume of the engineer, the blue flag problem and the simultaneous pit stops of the team mates...

Thanks in advance!

Same here, fanatec v2 is completely useless now

Thought I'd give this game another go after the latest patch.  I'll try and say a good thing to start with.  After fixing the deadzone issue this patch introduced (which it was actually supposed to fix?!?!), I finally have my wheel feeling.... not awful (for the first time).  There.  That's the best I can do.  Now for some bad.  I did a 25% championship race, and ran out of fuel with a lap and a half to go despite it saying optimal the entire time.  Then I got an award for "Clean Club" which is "Complete a Championship Season race without colliding with another car or object".... hmmm..... I think there were about 20 instances of contact with the AI in that race!   It wasn't a total loss though, because I finally figured out how to select things from the Radio Menu.  Now I get to play a fun mini-game during races where I get to try and select something from that before it vanishes.  Oh, and the graphics are still a disaster.  Using only FXAA leaves a lot of jaggies, even at 1440p, but adding TSAA makes it all blurry again.  They fixed the motion blur?  I'm not even sure if it is motion blur.... the camera just shakes unrealistically.  If you are moving at 1mph, things are blurry, but if you stop completely, things sharpen up.... a little.  So yeah, I don't really know what was fixed.  All the weird graphics issues combined makes racing in this game nausea inducing.  Seriously.  It reminds me of using the Rift DK1.

Ah, F1 2015, still a good time :)

No. Look, too. Teammates, come, all, to the pits at the same time to change tires.

Thank you, using g27 no issues for me. I do not use a custom keymap but the default. A lot of fixes i was hoping to see. Keep it up!

There are also some issues that occurs with the drivalility using a Logitech Rumblepad 2. The steering is way too sensitive and there are no deadzones too. Game was great BEFORE the patch...now everything has become worse. It is UNPLAYABLE NOW, so even if you try to drive on a straight, which should be the easiest thing in the world,  you will crash.

The blue flags issue is a major issue. I'm suprised it wasn't fixed

This is not an issue for me. You only have to be agressive with the car in front and he will finally give ways.

I prefer this attitude than from the previous games when the car in front was almost stopping to let you by.
For crying out loud of course it's not an issue for the player but it is for AI, that's the point. You're trying to catch up with the car ahead and then he's just in front of you because he can't pass backmarker for two laps

Has the 2nd gear pit lane exit glitch been fixed? Game often automatically downshifts to 2nd on exiting pit lane, damaging the engine. Please fix this if you haven't already.
Also, work on the netcode for 2016 or  just bring back the netcode from 2013. Desyncing has killed online in F1 2015. Please bring back old custom public lobbies from 2013 and 2014. Hopper lobbies are just poorly executed. There's barely anyone to be found in them.
Read the fcking post. The answer to your first question lies in post #1.

I have tried everything mentioned to try and get my steering sorted out (Fanatec csw 2) but nothing works, its not really a dead zone as such, more like the wheel has 1500 degrees of rotation or something. Its just really unresponsive. Worked perfectly pre-patch.

tried resetting custom controls, tried deleting files in documents.

im on pc using microsoft wheel.

im baffled how they cant find this bug before releasing the patch?
unless the wheel they test it on doesnt have this issue?
its like driving a mac truck around an f1 track - horrendous!

they have obv rushed to get the patch out before the wknd

The jaggies in this game are just ridiculous. There are so many weird aliasing problems like the white lines around the track becoming continually shifting dotted lines, which are only made all the more nauseating by the constantly vibrating camera as you say. I cannot believe they have released a game which ONLY has post-processing AA options, especially when the previous games had an absolute plethora of MSAA options. Sure the lighting is better in this game but the overall look and level of clarity is actually so much worse than F1 2014.

Regarding the deadzone in wheel and pedals, I was able to remove it not by setting the input device to custom, or by deleting the file, but by actually remapping throttle, turn left, turn right etc.  Have you tried that?

Same problem as massa80 (6.08pm) - after todays patch on PC whenever I turn right or left on gamepad it just goes straight to full lock and tyres squeal.

Is there a way on steam to revert to previous patch level so I can at least play the game until the next patch hopefully fixes the full lock problem?

try setting up a custom control option and  / or delete all data in documents>my games> f1 2015 especially hardware settings files (just delete the folder).  Failing that try un-installing and re-installing.

Hi Acerees,

Tried all suggestions but still the same unfortunately, hopefully CM will be able to track back to the cause as it was fine with the last patch so a new fix has affected at least some gamepad users.

Controller bug still exists. When I have my G27 or any controller as primary the FPS drop down to 22-45. When I unplug them, it immediately shoots up to 85-115fps. Plug it back in, instant drop back down.

This is the only thing preventing me from playing the game.

Well, I fix G27 deadzone bug setting my controls again. Just press START, go to CONTROL SETTINGS, select LOGITECH G27 and press F1 to customize by your way, after that my deadzone was fixed. Anyway I have to do that again if I close the game. It is a temporary fix while CM dont fix it definitely.

I have written a long letter to CM HO about this very problem and for me another left pull bug. (I have a G27 as well on PC). Don't know if they will answer though. We'll see how much they care.

CM already released three patches and didnt fixed G27 steering issues. I'll never understand that, G27 is the most used wheel on PC and users have to try a better way to fix by yourselves.

Issues with G27 when starting a game or session, the steering sensitivity is way off (like there is massive dead zone).  Going into controller settings and changing my controller to G27 again fixes it, but every session (Q1, Q2, Race, etc) I have to do this.

same with me. also have to press 'ENTER' button on keyboard when main menu appears, any other button does not work as before this patch.

Do you make sure to use your wheel/controller buttons to exit the game?
