F1 2015 on Windows 10

Recommended Posts

Hi

Forgive me if this question has been asked before, but now I've updated to Windows 10 I can't get the game to run. I'll get a black screen for a few seconds then it goes back to desktop and Steam tries to complete the installation, but I get an error message saying servers are too busy.

Is it Windows 10? It was ok before (with the latest patch) so I think it must be. Anyone else have the same problem? Is there a work around to get it to play.

Cheers Paul

yeah I haven't installed any of my F1 games back on yet but the games I have got bacvk upand running do appear to be running smoother so far on my system. But this is a comparison between Windows 7 and Windows 10 as I never had 8/8.1

I was on 8.1 and the performance with 10 seems to be better. Cannot say how much more fps but it seems to be smoother.

yeah the experience between Win 7 to Win 10 has been generally positive for me too so far but as of yet I haven't tried any of my older games  but I've just installed 1 of them to give it a try which is Star Trek Bridge commander which is a game I bought back in 2002 so hopefully trying a few games like this will put it too the test as to how good and flexible an OS Windows 10 is. Because while I'll love playing these newer games I'd still like to play my older games as well if possible even if I don't play them as much as I used to. The only games I've tried so far is the 2013 Tomb Raider and Mass Effect 3 both seem to be performing a lot better. Will probably put ME1 and 2 back on later so that it's ready for another trilogy run when I want to play them.

It seems that it is not the case. From this Web site, the performance is the same as with Windows 8.1 :
