Pit strategy bug - no stops on 50% race

Recommended Posts

Just started my race at Monaco in Championship Mode and it's light rain. Everyone starting on Inters. Look at the race strategy and there are no pit stops in it. I started the race, asked the engineer about pit window and he said "look after the tyres, you need to finish the race on this compound." Surely the game isn't expecting to get 39 laps out of one set of Inters?

None of the other cars are going in, are they going to suffer the same kind of tyre deg? Anyone else had this bug?

I think the lifespan of an intermediate is about 150km

Also on real life tyre topic didn't rosberg go 52 laps on primes at sochi last season?

Wouldn't call that a bug. Kind of hard to plan a strategy based on weather isn't it. Just pitvwhen you want

Probably, but aren't we still supposed to have tyre scaling in the game for 25% and longer races?

Tyre wear around Monaco is very very low and that mimics real life as there is no high speed corners to damage your tyres.  I don't know if in real life they could last the whole race.  Probably not so you probably have a point but maybe you would have been able to have made one stop and been faster but as in real life track position is king around Monaco.  So I suppose my comment is pointless and maybe I should have not written anything at all.  Who knows but I have written this now and as this is on the internet this comment will be here forever! But one thing I really do want to commit to is that it is unlikely in real life to rain and maintain the right amount of rain to keep inter's as the right tyre.  But in my best "ronseal" impression (sitting nicely on the fence) that could happen in real life as well but not often.
