Are Codemasters aware of the flaws in qualifying? Will it be fixed?

tl;dr - AI go out on wrong tyres; don't create space for themselves to set a good time; don't switch over to options if originally out on primes to set a better time and possibly advance; some wait until 5 minutes or less left in a session to go out, sometimes failing to set a time at all or setting a horrible time because they follow slower cars rather than slowing down and giving themselves space before starting a flying lap.

- The AI frequently use the wrong tyres. You'll see Rosberg or Hamilton out on option tyres straight away in Q1; totally unnecessary for them obviously. While other cars that should be on options instead stick with primes. For instance, Daniel Ricciardo goes out on the prime tyre in Q2 when everyone should be on options. To top this nonsense off, he waits until the last 5 or 6 minutes of the session to go out and then just cruises around setting horrible times and failing to advance to Q3 because of it. Also, why on a 2014 Red Bull am I starting on Options in Q1? The engineer tells me not to push hard because we'll make the next session easily, and yet a set of option tyres are on the car by default... this also happens even if you're driving a Mercedes. 'Don't push too hard. Hey, let's waste a set of options!' I don't recall this occurring in previous F1 games I've played (F1 2013, F1 2014)

Below are some screenshots I took of each quali session from yesterday, and as you will see, some drivers fail to place higher than they otherwise would due to being on the wrong tyres. What the pictures do not show, but this can be easily verified simply by playing the game, is numerous cars sitting in the garage until the last few minutes, as I previously mentioned. This is another issue I don't recall seeing in the previous F1 games I've played. And to make it clear, this is not just a one time thing either. This type of stuff happens in every single quali session.

Q1, Australia, Legend difficulty, PC, Logitech DFGT

As you can see in the first part of the results, Hamilton and Bottas for whatever reason, go out on the options. Why? There's no need for them to do so. In the second image, we see Daniil Kvyat out on options and comfortably making Q2, while his teammate barely gets through in P15 thanks to sticking with prime tyres for the entire session, for whatever reason.

Q2

On to Q2, here we see my teammate Ricciardo failing to progress to Q3 because he does not go out on the option tyre. Instead he cruises around for several laps at the very end of the session over 2.5 seconds off the pace. Somehow Kimi made it through; odd considering his inherent lack of pace relative to Alonso in the actual 2014 season, but whatever. And why was Rosberg on primes? Everyone should be on options from Q2 onward. No exceptions if the weather is dry, as it was here.

Q3

And finally Q3. At least everyone is on options as they should be... But I want to point out another issue I have noticed in every quali session. Lewis Hamilton struggles with achieving what should be an easy P1 or P2 because he simply will not go out any sooner than the last 2 or 3 minutes of Q3. A couple of others usually do not go out as well. Here he ends up nearly 7 tenths off the pace, and the only reason he set a time is because the AI had the extra time to put in a lap if already on a flyer thanks to me being out on track as the session time ran out. If I had been sitting in the garage as time expired, the session would have ended right then and he would not have set a time. This has happened before. Hamilton has started P10 in the races because he fails to set a time thanks to going out way too late. And other times, he's qualified well down in P7 or so if he does manage to set a time, thanks to a failure to create a space to set a clean lap, instead following right behind a slower car, totally compromising his session. It's inexcusable.

So if you're still reading, thanks for taking the time to do so. I hope this post will bring light to the issue and lead to fixes.
